Hello, my name is Stephanie. My husband recently became unemployed due as he tested for COVID and had a bad case and missed lots of work. We have signed up for unemployment, but we haven’t gotten anything yet because they say they are backlogged and haven’t processed everyone yet. We now owe over 2000 in rent and our car was just reposed leaving us with no way to get around and now my husband is limited in trying to find another job as the COVID is lingering in him. In the middle of relocating from Colorado Springs back to the Western Slope and I just tested positive for COVID. My ten-year-old daughter had been visiting her father for the last few weeks while I finished a few last details up in Colorado Springs. Upon coming back to the Western Slope around the 20th I fell ill and I had my daughter and myself tested for covid. My results just came back, I tested positive for covid-19. My daughter has absolutely been exposed to me and will be needed the test again. In the meantime I find us homeless and not able to afford isolation and quarantine in a hotel or airbnb.
Friends and family are all terrified like we have leprosy. I was not looking to settle for another few weeks as I was needed back and forth. Now all of our plans need to change. We need help.
