Hi,
It seems like you need help to turn the electric back on? You did not even say the state or company though. So for general utility reconnection assistance programs you can find resources from this link. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... money.html

If you only owe $170, that is not a huge amount. Maybe try the Louisiana LIHEAP program.
There is an emergency component, offered by the state DHS, that can provide LIHEAP grants within hours. But since you only have until tomorrow, it may be too late.

My electric was disconnected about a week ago. Its in my landlords name and he said that he'd send the bills every month. In almost a year I've seen two bills, one for the month of January and the other for March. He was pretty good at calling to inform me of a disconnect notice, so that I could go make a payment that I could afford just to avoid shut off. Well this time he did no such thing and I'd even spoken with him twice the week before it was shut off.
The electric guy left a bill of what was owed. It stated that with connection fee $1,800. I couldn't believe it since in June my bill stated $500.00, a little more and after paying rent I always tried making a payment in if it as only $20.00. I have a 7 year old daughter in my home and it hurts that she's seeing me struggle. Her dad lost his job In May then got it back and lost it again.
I am working at a convenient store only getting 22 hours a week at $8 an hour. It comes to just enough to make rent. Her dad has been trying to find work but its very hard do to his whole right hip bone has died and now needs a full hip replacement so we are very much in need of help. I have gone to my local county office and was denied also to a state funded electric assistance program that's local and is called lakes and pines and they have no funding. So if there is anyway you could help me I'd be so thankful.

Well, if you are a mother of 4 with no source of income, electric bills are the last of your problem. Food stamps can't feed an entire family. You need a job, income, financial help, and much more. For short term relief for your electricity, find electric bill help.

Is your 22 year old daughter working? Why can't she contribute to the $800 bill. Also, how is it possible to run up the utilities that much in Virginia? That is a low of money. You need to work heard, look into payment plans, and more. So locate and read more utility bill help in Virginia.

Hello,
I am trying to find some kind of help for my electric and gas bill. I have a household of 5, 3 adults and 2 children (my grandchildren) under the age of 6 and my granddaughter has asthma really bad. I am the main provider. I pay all the bills myself and try to take care of everyone else in my family. I am getting to the point that I can't pay all my bills on time.
Can you please help me to find a pace that may help me?
Thank you.

Good Evening:
I am here to ask a question. I am a DC resident that is looking for assistance with my electric cooling fees. I live in a apartment complex that is all my utilities is included in my rent. I also hold an section 8 voucher. I am currently employed part-time. And due to my pay scale I am unable to provide any extra fund.
I basically live from pay check to pay check, to pay my rent on a timely manner. My landlord is requesting the tenants to pay cooling fees, which is $35.00 per air condition unit. I have 3 air conditioners one in my living room and each one in my and my child room. We are both asthmatic, I do have some health issues. If there its any way that we can go without air conditions in our units without causing any harm to our health we can.
I am asking where can I get assistance to pay my cooling fee from May to September with the total of $520.00. You can verity that information from my rental office. Please direct me to assistance if possible. Thank you.

Why does it cost $245 per month for a utility bills? Not only is that ridiculously high, but that is even more true in Kentucky. Service should be much cheaper down there, and look into payment plans and other solutions too. Also, if you are not happy with living in Kentucky, we suggest you leave. No one forces and person to live anywhere. But as far as the energy bills go, find programs for utility bills in Kentucky.

if you have a $1500 bill and no stable income coming in, sorry to say you will not have many options. How did you ever get to the point of having such an expensive bill? Honestly that amount is incredibly high. Anyway, no charity or agency will help with that. But feel free to explore our different programs. Learn more on the various utility and electric bill services.

I just started working as a waitress, my husband lost his job a couple months ago. We have Four children, aged twelve and under. I'm still training at my job, not making any money yet and the bills keep rolling in. Our electric is currently off, has been since last week and our kids aren't going to have a Christmas this year. Do you know anyone who could help my family? Thank you.

I have fallen about 6 months behind on my rent. I do hair and have run a salon out of my home for almost 4 years and I have one child. For three years I had a lady that rented a hair station from me but she retired and I don't have a full clientele so I am looking for a job elsewhere.

There are many things that have caused this problem in falling behind but if any further questions need to be answered just ask. Hours drastically cut back to 5 hours a week at work. Need help paying electric bill, ($331.25.) Was due for shut off 3/29/2014, but asked them to hold off as I sought help. Have looked everywhere to no avail. Please, is there any help out there? Please contact me via email and let me know if there's anything I can do. Thank you!

I am currently unemployed and taking care of my 4 months old baby. My boyfriend has been very slow during these cold months due to the type of work he does. In 2012 I was held responsible for a utility bill that was to be paid by someone else and I am struggling to make my payment protection payment every month. If at all possible I would like to get as much help as possible to pay off as much of this bill as possible. At this moment the bill is at $1537.79 and my protection plan amount is $241.00 a month. I am currently seeking employment and am not having very much luck. I need help asap to keep my power from being shut off and leaving me and my baby without power or heat. Thank you.

Yes, this is the right place to send emails. While you say you can live without gas, the good news is that there is assistance for all types of utility bills, including electric, gas, and others in Georgia. A lot will really depend on who your energy company is too. So while you did not mention them, we can provide you some general information. Find the details on these resources here. Read Georgia utility assistance programs.

Hello, unfortunately I live in the state of Kentucky. I have had trouble with my electric company this month. I have paid my bills on time since I established service in August. This month of March I received a bill but was unable to pay it. It was due the third and I was sent a disconnect notice on the fourth. I went in and told them that I could pay the whole bill but it would not be until the 19. They shut off the service on the 12. Due to this I have lost all my food and have had to spend more to eat out and try to go to places for warmth. My job performance has suffered due to my problems with arthritis and a skin condition. I told them to finalize the bill so I would not be charged the extra reconnect fee and to send the rest of the deposit to me. They found a way to take the whole deposit plus charge me 19 more dollars. It costs 245 as a deposit which is more than I can handle right now having to buy all my food out and having no way to cook it. I was also affected by being robbed at gunpoint earlier this year and losing $2100 which can never be recovered. To make matters worse the reason why I could not afford it was because I was also a victim of job discrimination and lost time from work to that. I also lost my first paycheck from my new job due to a case of ID theft with my bank. It seems that Kentucky is the worst place to live and need help. If there are any ways to get assistance please let me know. I can even pay it back in March when I receive my school money. Thank you for your help.

I live in Warner Robins Georgia. I have gone to many different places and asked many different people if they could assist me with help with my bills. I do not have very expensive bills, but with no one working in the home at this time I'm struggling badly. My daughter lost her job and TANF has giving my kids the run around they want even be able to get their kids Christmas Toys. I was doing my online classes, but with the struggle I almost have to drop out do to financial issues. My gas is two months behind and it is about $87.00 and my lights are about the same close to $90.00. I have Flint Energies. I really can live without the gas, but I really need the electric. PS I'm not sure if I'm in the right place to be sending emails. I just been trying everything I can to get some assistance, when you not able to get around. I don't even have a car to get to other places. Help me if you can.
