Re: Where to get free food?
Hello:
I am contacting you regarding emergency food service. I was admitted to the hospital after being beaten badly and I lost my job at that time and we have no where to get food for us. I have two children at home and have no way to pay for groceries at this moment. I am behind with my balance owed and am in the process of being cut off from credit cards. Please contact me with any information on food programs that give me groceries for free and fruits and stuff. Please help for me to be able to find some help during this time.

Hi Omyra,
You did not mention your general area or even state, so our reply may not be the best. But what happened with SNAP food stamp applications? Denied or something or just taking too long? But try a pantry as we have on the site, or have you heard about emergency SNAP? Most states offer it and it can get you an EBT card really quick and find details on the emergency SNAP https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... dited.html

I'm a single mother of soon to be three children. I have fallen on hard times and in return I am really backed up on my bills and my kids need food. I am still waiting for my food stamps to start but we need food right now and I have no money to buy groceries.
I honestly have tried to sign up for SNAP months ago and other state programs and nothing was successful. I believe that this is my last chance of getting help before my child and I go even more hungry. Please email me back as soon as possible. At this time my cellphone is off and email is the best way to contact me.

Sorry to hear about your mom, multiple surgeries, etc. Sounds brutal. There is information on pantries and food banks in this thread, but also maybe try a free food deal or special from a restaurant for your mom. Even as a treat. Locate restuarants with free food deals.

My mom is on SSDI and suffered from a freak accident last year. She has had 4 surgeries in 10 months that she is dealing with I am the only child and she requires food and medications. We tried coupons for the grocery store and GoodRX for deals but that is not enough. I had to quit work so we are in a crisis. I have tried an abundant amount of organizations to get her food with very little help. Could you please help me and my mom get help and we are both hungry. We need affordable food or some information on how we can get deals. Our housing is also passed due and we might be evicted.

Re: Food charity and groceries. Help.
Hi all,
This thread covers multiple states, cities and areas. We have many charities listed on the site that give out groceries. Look here for the local free food distribution centers. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... r_you.html

Re: Food charity and groceries. Help.
Good Morning,
I'm currently employed but quarantined due to COVID I got a couple days ago and while I know I do not have to quarantine I am very sick. I need food delivered and help from the state or a charity. Due to the fact that I have recently relocated to Colorado from Florida I'm unable to claim unemployment in Colorado and must use Florida for my unemployment. The State of Florida's website is extremely buggy and it has been hard to get help from them to get food, though I am trying. Can I get groceries or help from a charity instead? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: Where to get free food?
Hi Wendy
We have information on local and national free food programs. It includes pantries, soup kitchens and other places. Also try WIC for the baby formula. But here is the list of food programs and select your area, as Garland covers multiple counties. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... r_you.html
Also, maybe for the baby formula specific, as we mentioned try WIC (a government benefit) but maybe Feeding America has some ideas for you. Here is their site. https://www.feedingamerica.org/

Now I owe money on bills and trying to find a church to help me get food for me and my soon to be baby. I have a 1 year old daughter and was planning on working until two weeks before given birth in order to have money to continue paying my bills. Obviously that didn’t happen and now I’m late on all of my obligations like my car note, rent, phone bill, and utility bill. I really need help getting free food. Please I have no money only $10 to my name. I’ve been approved for SNAP but I won’t get any food until the 19, I’ve been through so much I just need help please. I live at GARLAND TX 75044. Please.

Re: Where to get free food?
Hi, my family and I have been having an awful time since this pandemic started 4 years ago. 7 months or so ago I was furloughed from my waitressing job, and now I feel like I'm drowning with stress and bills are piling up non stop. I can not get ahead at all, we are out of food. I'm homeschooling my oldest daughter (9) so I cant go out an find a job and unemployment just doesn't help at all really. And then I also have another daughter I need to feed - she's 2 years old.
I was also trying to see how/if I can apply for the free food program to help my girls. Please let me know if you can help
Thank you
Alicia

Re: Free food deals
In addition the that other resource for free grocery deals, try pantries, food banks or soup kitchens. As almost all towns (no matter who small or rural) have some type of pantry that gives out free food to people in crisis. Find them here, a list where to get free food.

Re: Free food deals
Hi, my name is Jennifer and I'm a single parent.
My car broke down on me yesterday and I'm supposed to be starting a new job, hopefully next week. So I can't work, and can't buy food and now we need deals for groceries and stuff. I'm just waiting on my background check to go through.
I've called 211 to try to find some assistance with a repair bills however they had no suggestions in my area. (Other than the town trustee, which I just had an appointment with yesterday to get help with paying my rent and they'll only help you once a year.)
I've contacted Love Inc. also, another agency here in town that helps in emergency situations. They're unable to offer me any assistance.
I don't know what to do or who else to contact to try and get some assistance getting my car fixed and to get free food or find deals in my region I have to get to work I couldn't even get to the Pantry yesterday and I needed to go so bad. I have a 13 year old boy who's ALWAYS hungry and we're about out of food.
If you could help to guide me in the right direction I greatly appreciate it. I've done all I know what to do and I'm not sure where to go from here.
Thank you for you time.

Re: Where to get free food?
I need help paying for food. I am the caregiver of a 57 year old disabled man who is terminally ill. He just had another heart surgery and has started so many new outrageously priced medications that we cannot afford our 1000 food budget and bills this month. He has never had to do this before. Reach out for help. He is a very good man and was always a hard worker and provider. Is there any assistance you can give us for groceries and bills? He is on social security benefits. We receive food stamps now as well, Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Re: Free food deals
My brother in law lives in Florida. Lost his job a month ago and now needs food and money for other bills. Has no internet, no cell phone, no money and no source of income and needs free stuff or some sort of deals to get by. He cannot apply for unemployment without a phone for texts or an email address to receive info. He doesn't remember his email password and cannot retrieve it without a phone to text it to. My wife sent him money to have his electric turned on and to buy food and he made a deal he would try to pay us back. He is mentally slow. He needs help that we cannot give him from NY. Can you give him any deals for food or other programs? He has been unemployed for one month. He is 50 years old had lived with his parents his entire life. They both died within a year of each other last year.
We tried calling unemployment, the message hang-up on you after telling you to apply online.

Re: Free food deals
I live in the Oaks at St. John's apartments in Florida, and I have 5 kids who are 12 and younger. I need help with food to ensure my kids get what they need. I'm also behind 1 month on bills which totals $1,148 but I currently have $400. With no transportation or consistent Internet or school it's been hard finding and keeping a job not to mention to get food or find deals for 5 kids. I can't just leave my kids home alone in the quest for a food pantry or resources that give food deals. I pray you all can help me, thank you for your time.

Free food deals
Hello,
My name is Jeremy. I'm 41 years old, and I live in Medina, New York and I am looking for deals for food, groceries or meals. Medina is located in Orleans County. I'm looking to find help paying bills specifically food. I'm currently getting cash assistance, and SNAP from the county I live in due to my mental illnesses. The cash assistance is not a lot, $430.00 or so, and $250.00 for food so a free deal would be great to help me. I've been declined twice from Social Security due to the Doctor they speak to, even though My Doctor and My Therapist at the County Health Center filled out forms stating that I'm disabled due to my mental illnesses.
They even stated that my illnesses are permanent. I have anxiety disorder, severe depression, suicidal thoughts, and post-traumatic stress disorder. It's odd that the Orleans County Social Services deems me as disabled, but Social Security thinks I should be able to work with my illnesses. I'm not sure how to go about getting more help with bills or food. I was hoping you can help point me in the right direction for financial help or free food deals. Sorry if I've given you too much information about my situation. I can always be reached at this email the message was sent from. Thanks for reading this over and getting back to.

Hi Gabrial
You can use the resources we have above, but we have more specific programs for York SC as well. Such as food banks, charities and other places that give groceries or food. You can find them here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... banks.html
