Re: A FULL SIZE ADJUSTABLE BED NEEDED

Post by Admin - Jon McNamara »

Adjustable beds? For medical needs? Or regular furniture? Anyway, they may be hard to get. But try a furniture bank in Charleston SC.

I have looked for an adjustable bed that is full sized and can't seem to find anyone who can help.
I also do not have transportation.
Of course, I would love a new bed but would consider a clean gently used bed as well.

A furniture bank may have living room furniture, such as tables, couches, and the like. Some items (most?) may be gently used. But since you have 3 kids anyway, would assume that is oaky as kids do not need new stuff. Look here for resources. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... iture.html

Good Day
Trust you are well and keeping safe.
I am a single mother of 3 kids age 11 ,8 and 2 I am working. But unable to afford basics such as furniture for my living room. I take care of 8 other family members the salary is not enough... All I need help with is food and to pay off the children's school fees since a year ago. Or even if we can get assistance with food parcels or/and clothes even if they are used clothes especially winter clothes. We also need that living room furniture. I will appreciate any help offered even if it's not money I seriously needs help. Or even if I can be assisted with weekend job just to make end meets or assist my brothers with work just so our situation can get better and we can make ends meet and afford basics. The Covid 19 pandemic has really affected us in a bad way as my family lost their jobs and I was fortunate enough to still have a job but now I have to take care of everyone at home.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Just living room furniture

Post by LorenDer »

Hi there,
I recently came across your site when looking for ways to get involved in helping out low income individuals and families in the Boston / Massachusetts area. I know that you provide various types of help and guidance to lower income individuals, and I'd love to know if there's any way I could volunteer to be of any help? Or, do you happen to know of any other organizations that may be looking for help?
I recently graduated college and am working in the Boston area, but I grew up in a low income family and paid my way through college, so I understand a bit about what it's like to feel strapped for cash to the point of turning to a site called 'needhelppayingbills.com' for help. I feel like I've seen a breadth of perspectives in ways of life, and definitely want to be able to help anyone in any way that I can.
Let me know if you know of anyone else I could connect with on this or if there's anyone else I should reach out to!

The 2 middle boys need new mattresses and they all need sheets and blankets and other stuff to live on. I am trying to find work. I have been a stay at home mom for years but when we bought our home I went to work and fell and got injured and now I am disabled but we are so financially hurting.
I have no choice but to get a job. Please help us. We need it so bad. We never pay our rent until the 3rd week of the month. Please help us, and thank you for reading my story.

Hi my name is James, me and my fiancé are facing eviction because our landlord was recording us video and audio we found the power supply and unplugged it. And he got upset and put an eviction notice on the door., but when we were evicted we lost all our stuff such as beds, TVs, appliances, mattresses and all the stuff in or house.
But the reason I'm contacting you is because I have another house it's in Folsom Louisiana and I'm trying to move in there but it was vandalized real bad and someone vandalized it really bad and stole everything including all my clothes and appliances and furniture. Also me and my fiancé lost our jobs due to COVID and hurricane Ida as well. I'm really embarrassed and I feel ashamed that I'm asking someone for assistance but we are so desperate and we don't know where else to turn for new stuff. I'm not sure if I'm contacting the right person but I'm hoping that you can leave me in the right direction for some assistance. Please help us we are desperate. Thank you so much for your time and God bless you.

I’m trying to get help with furniture assistance just for a few months, until my SSDI starts up, My wife is the only one working right now, and we have 3 children at home, and can barely cover the rent and other bills. We need a full sized bed ASAP. I have never asked for help before I’m too proud to be honest with, but unfortunately we have fallen on hard times, since I’m not able to work anymore.... I don’t know what else to do for a full size adjustable bed, I’m kind of desperate...also they cut my wife’s hours back at work, so that hurts as well.... thank you for your time,

If you are on section 8, your income is probably low enough to use a free furniture bank. Or get household furnishings from a charity or free goods from a thrift store. We have tons of options listed, and find free furniture banks near you.

That is a lot of furniture you need, such as 2 bedroom sets, washer, dryer, etc. We doubt any place can give all that. Why do you need ALL the furniture? Probably should not have moved if you have zero furniture or ability to get anyhow. Anyhow, find a free furniture bank near you.

Re: Furniture for section 8 family

Post by Jon Cor Mac »

I am Jennifer.
I’m a 38 year old single mother of a beautiful 14 year old girl named Mia, and a handsome boisterous 5 year old Son Myles. We live in a section 8 home and need furniture.
These children are my life. We currently have a Section 8 voucher. We lost a lot of stuff in the move and need new furniture. My parents had both passed away one after the other and we were Supposed to get the second floor apartment.
Since we got this third floor apartment, nothing made it up. We weren't anticipating this. We had to give a lot of our furniture up..  It didn't make it into the apartment up on the third floor. I do not know what else to do and my girlfriend gave me a kind of sofa. It's falling apart. I'm sleeping on a mattress on the floor my daughter's bed frame was a gift for my brother that her mattress has spring sticking out of its so old. My son just out grew his toddler bed. If someone could please help I could give yo upayments I just can't pay all at once I am struggling. I never thought this were how our lives would turn out. I just want my children to be proud of their home it's spotless it just needs some furniture for the section 8 program. I pray that someone reads this and gives us a call thank you so much for your time

Try one of the Will County free furniture banks. Also, if you are a surviving military spouse, maybe there are programs for veterans too. Then since you need so many items, try a low cost thrift store for some of those basic essentials as well.

Re: I need furniture such as beds and more for my children

Post by Scott Chhn »

My name is Anthony I am emailing you on behalf of Kristy my recent girlfriend, a woman who moved from Arizona on a domestic violence relocation and she has multiple children.
I'm asking you on her behalf because Friday is a factor for her to at least get started I go the extra mile. She is recently just found a place to live three bedrooms for her 3 children and herself.
I am asking on her behalf if you're charities or assistance programs could help her with beds and kitchen tables for her home because right now the only thing they have are air mattresses and a couch that was left behind in the apartment, and three chairs in the kitchen. It is a nice home but it is missing the basics of a living quarters like that bed for her children.
We don't have a means to go pick up set items if items are available to us so if it all possible for these items to be dropped off or delivered would be exceptionally helpful.
You may contact me at your earliest convenience to ask me any other information you may need.

There are free furniture banks in New York City. Maybe they can give you and the kids a place to sleep and sit, like beds and such. Try them for help.
