So if you get the money for your rent that free up your disability to pay electric costs? Is that it? So what are your plans to pay the rent on your home in Contra Costa next month in August, and in September, etc. What are you going to do to become self-sufficient. As there is no point in helping if you are asking for money again in weeks. Anyway, try this for short term rental assistance in Contra Costa County.

Emergency rent assistance, food assistance, gas assistance. My significant other lost his job at the beginning of November. He just started a new job today but will not get a paycheck for 2 weeks. I have a chronic illness that made me miss 2 weeks of work and my check was 94 compared to 860, which is normally my pay. We are 150 behind on November's rent and December's rent of 695 was due the first. We need help with food as well. Please tell me you can help.

We do not call people. You need to seek agencies that may have the rent and/or electric bill help you need on the main site, and then call them to apply. Also, you can work more than one day per week. Even if you can't get a full time job, many employers are doing whatever they can to hire staff. So combine that approach with assistance programs that help with bills, and together you may be able to get what you seek.

So why don't you solve the transportation problems. There are rides and programs in Southwest Arkansas that provide vouchers for gas or more. Also, try a food pantry. Your request is very lacking, as even if someone were to give you rent help, what will you do about your job and future bills? You did not say what your plan was. I need financial help for rent and utilities as well as transportation and food. I work but only part time due to transportation struggles. This has made it extremely difficult to build a life for me and my daughters. Now, I risk being homeless. It has become overwhelming. I need a running start and the opportunity to keep building without everything falling apart. Thank you. Blessings.

I need help with rent and/or electric. I have had my hours reduced at work from 3-4 days a week to 1. My grandchildren and kids live with me. I am now so far behind I have applied everywhere for work. And exhausted every possible means of securities I had to survive. Any help given would be greatly appreciated. You may also call us. We need help, my rent is 1850.00 and my electric is 269.00 over due.

My husband's company closed down in August and he has been looking very hard but hasn't gotten any offers. His unemployment ended, mine ended but I found a job. The pay is horrible and I am still looking for something better but at least it is something however I have had to have three major back surgeries this year and it makes me limited on how much I can do. We barely got past eviction last month and not this month.
We thought we had enough in our fidelity account however when they sent the check for rent for us we didn't realize that the funds had not been put aside and they got spend on other bills. Well the landlord is going to have to file eviction again. We need to pay her $1600 before Tuesday (6/24) or she is filing. We don't have it and no one we can borrow from. I am scared and have no place to turn. We even applied for food stamps and I submitted everything they asked for yet they still denied us saying we didn't submit it.

Gas for my car to be able to go to these job interviews, room to stay with a shower. I have a dog so no shelters will take me. I need a warm shower as I am living in my car with my dog for over 3 weeks. I moved to Reno on a job lead, posting for jobs and getting interviews set up but can't get to them as I am out of money. My car has not moved for over a week and is out of gas and now battery is dead.
It's cold and I need to clean up and get a job so I can make a living again. All I need is a little assistance to go to second interviews in which I know I will be hired if I am able to get there. I am educated and I have never been without work until now and I have used every penny I have to get here and I want to stay and work find housing.
I am 49 and I never ever thought I would be homeless. That's another story as Wells Fargo wrongfully sold my home, I have an attorney working on that case and I have a good case but need 500.00 to hold him for service. Another good reason why I need to get to these job interviews as they took my family's home of 12 years that I worked hard for. Now to end up homeless and poor is tough. As I worked out of my home as a licensed insurance agent/broker and licensed to care for adult disabilities in my home and monthly income. I lost my home jobs and everything I worked for along with all my kids and my belongings as I was unable to keep up with the payments on my storage units.
Please help me. I never needed help and I always volunteered to help everyone that needed never ever thinking that one split second you can end up with nothing. Thank you.

My daughter resides in Sapulpa Oklahoma. She has 5 children. Her vehicle is not running and therefore she is now unemployed. I paid her water bill 278.00 yesterday after it was shut off. Her electric is past due and in her name. She has a appointment for TANF arriving in the mail. She went to DHS TODAY. The rent is past due for this month. The gas and electric also. I have no more money to help. I am in Texas and can not even afford gas to get there. Please try to help her find some places so that her and the 5 children will not be homeless.

Hi, my son will be two in October. We have been homeless sine February. I am currently on MFIB, food stamps and am supposed to get child support but don't receive anything.
We have a five year no contact order against my son's father. I am working a very good job now (but it's part time) and have been approved to move into a apartment building but before they will let us move in I need to pay off my unlawful detainer from February, and come up with first/ last month and security deposit. I'm unable to use Anoka County emergency assistance until October. We have exhausted all of our personal resources. If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Family of 5 soon to be 6 has received an eviction notice and has been given 7 days to move. We have lived here for 1/2 years. Our daughter passed away this past December and due to taking personal time and extra expenses my husband and I fell behind. We have no family or friends in this state and are in dire straights. Any and all help we are seeking. Christmas doesn’t seem possible either this year which breaks my heart for my children. Please help if possible. Thank you.

Some states do help pay for home care if an immediate family member is disabled. We are not sure if Georgia does, and there are many funding restrictions and application parameters too. SSDI may also offer additional compensation as well, so call social security. Locate all of the benefits for the disabled in Georgia. Click here.

I work however, due to an unexpected car expense, I had to pay my rent late for the month of October, with paperwork already filed with the County. I have not had an issue with my rent before but being the sole provider for my home, I had to get costly repairs done in order to get to and from work. There are no bus lines where I live or in the area in which I work in Florida, so I had to make the hard decision to pay my rent late. I am reaching out for assistance because I am a hard worker and just need help transitioning into another month without the financial setback going into November. Thanks you for considering my request for assistance. It is greatly appreciated.

Hello.

We live in Georgia. My mom, who is disabled on social security disability, resides with us.

I stay home with my mom since I cannot leave her alone. By doing this I am able to keep her out of a nursing home where she cannot get the one on one care that I give her. She is also very content here whereas somewhere else her mental state is fragile due to the stroke she had and the damage that it did. She can easily get upset when she is not understanding something that is said to her, frightened is probably a better word.

I have been told, though I am not sure, that there is financial assistance available for Georgia residents so that I am able to stay home with her and continue the daily care that she needs. Is there such a program available?

At this time the only income that my household has is the disability check that my mom receives. Our household suffered a tremendous hardship around February 2013 due to a personal auto accident that my husband was in. He was a oil truck driver and this has ruined his career. No trucking company will hire him. He was let go at this job due to this accident and was awarded unemployment that just recently came to an end. They are not doing extensions. He is a student now at the age of 48. He is searching for employment but his experience is very limited. It has been no easy task even getting an interview.

So, we continue to work at things the best that we can and one day we'll get there. But right now we need help and are hoping that there is some sort of assistance out there for our household. We have no children. We are planning to file for food stamps in the very near future. I am just waiting on a phone call back for a checklist of what I need to have on hand when filing and I'm hoping to be able to squeeze in the gas to make it down there.

We entered into chapter 13 in 2009. We were a part of the economic crisis that occurred in 2008. But we were able to hold onto our home. Up until February 2013, we were handling things okay. Now though we are not able to handle things at this time. We are concerned that we will lose our home. I have paperwork ready to go out in the mail on Wednesday to ask our mortgage company for an interest rate reduction due to our financial hardship. Right now the only assistance we have to look forward to is the food stamps while hoping that our interest rate can be reduced. Is there any help available to us that we might qualify for? I'm sorry for such a lengthy email. It's just very hard to say what is going on in our household in a few small paragraphs. Thank you so much for reading. I appreciate it.

Hello,
My husband lost his job back In April and I am going to school full time. I receive $105.00/week from child support and that is all the money I have. My husband says he left a message for our local human services dept here in Fort Myers, FL as well as the 211 number, but we have not heard anything from anyone. Our current situation is as follows: We owe back rent in the amount of $2400 and are at the verge of being homeless. My husband had applied for unemployment and was supposed to hear back from an adjudicator and even with him leaving multiple messages for someone to call to give him an interview he never received a call. Our electric has already been shut off once and I luckily was able to get it turned back on with the money I had from child support. Our water is due to be shut off this coming Thursday, and I don't have enough money at this time to keep the water on. We lost our car last week due to repossession. I was only able to make a partial payment on 9/22 and that was not enough since due to my husband being out of work it has put us too far behind. So at this time we have no transportation.
My husband has been actively looking for work but has not had much luck. He does computer work and there isn't a whole lot of jobs for that available at this time. He has even applied at places like Home Depot and Lowes. I have put an ad up on to see if anyone needs their house cleaned or anything that I can do part time while I am doing school. I am trying to prevent us from being homeless, so if you could please call my husband and to let us know if you may know of anyone that may be able to help us in our situation. My son and I may have a friend I can stay with for a couple of days but after that we will all be in a shelter and I would like to prevent that if possible. I have even thought about selling all of our furniture. I just don't know what to do anymore. Any help for our family would be appreciated.
Thank you,

With that diverse set of needs, such as car payments, credit cards and medications, your best bet may be a non-profit credit counseling agency. There are many in Tennessee. While we doubt they can help with phone bills and food, basically they provide counseling and advice to help you get back on track with paying your bills and addressing financial matters and issues. They really do focus in particular on credit cards debts. Learn more.

I was evicted from my home on March 26th. I was unable to pay my rent. My husband is unemployed, my oldest son is 220 and is disabled, my youngest son, 18, was just fired from his job last week. I've been at a hotel since the eviction and all of the money I'm earning is going towards the room and I'm unable to save a penny towards finding a place. I also have health issue which prevent me from getting a second job. I'm so desperate right now!! I'm not sure if I'm even going to be able to afford to work this upcoming week. I deliver newspapers for the Providence journal and I have no clue how I'm going to get gas for the week. I was receiving food stamps but lost my decertification for when this happened so I don't even have that. If there's any help available to me please let me know.
