Hi Natasha
If you had that decent relationship with your landlord, maybe they will work with you to provide more time to come up with the money? As if you are working now, that is a benefit. Maybe a payment plan? Also try the various organizations in Waco that may help with rent, as maybe they have ideas for you.

I have received a letter from my landlord telling me I need to pay $1,025.00 by the 20th of November or he will file to vacate. I am so lost. I have nowhere to go from here. I have a job. I pay my bills. I have taken my brother in. He was on disability, but it was cut off, so I am trying to help him with getting it back so he can get on his feet.
When I rented this house, I rented it from somewhat of a friend. A year or so after renting, he said that he might not be the landlord anymore. There was some legal thing on his end, so he told me to hold my rent money until he let me know. Well, I had some emergencies come up. I was hospitalized for five days the first time due to working on the house, and at this time I could not work, so I fell behind on rent.
Upon moving into this house, I agreed to clean and fix it up, and I have put so much time and love into this house over two years. The front two rooms were not even livable. I sheetrocked the living room and bath, mudded, painted, sanded, antiqued floors and cabinets, pulled old wallpaper down. I have done plumbing — everything to make this house livable and lovable. I really do not want to move.
I fell in a hard spot. I went to the hospital a second time for five days. I have asthma bad and took in my brother, and I was not really sure who the landlord was for a second until I received this notice to pay or vacate. So I am truly at your mercy. Please, if anyone could help, I would be truly blessed.
I am Natasha, Waco, TX, McLennan County.
Thank you for your time, and have a blessed day.
