It kind of depends on where you are in Iowa, but there are a number of rent assistance programs for Iowa listed that you can try for the help you need.

Had a good friend renting to me and unfortunately she died 2 weeks after I caught up on my rent with her so I had to move. I have been struggling paying the rent from month to month. If I can just make it until I get taxes back I will be ok after that. Is it possible for me to get a onetime help paying my rent for May?
