Re: What places in Mesa help low income people pay bills?

Post by Melissaat »

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to urgently request assistance following a series of traumatic and life-altering events that have left me without the financial or physical ability to meet my basic needs.
I was sexually abused at my workplace, which caused serious emotional trauma and led to my hours being drastically reduced—from over 60 hours a week to just 6. Not long after, I suffered a major fall at my apartment complex and sustained a shattered wrist and a torn foot. I am currently under medical care and required to wear both a cast and a walking boot.
While I am in the process of returning to work, I currently have no income and am in a dire financial situation. I am facing eviction and repossession of my only means of transportation, and I’m also trying to care for two animals during this difficult time.
I am urgently seeking assistance with the following:
Rental assistance: I appeared in eviction court and the judge ruled that I must either pay the total rent amount of $4,934.24 or have relocation/move-out plans in place by August 25th to avoid further legal consequences.
Transportation assistance: My car was repossessed by a title loan company due to two missed payments of $39.89 each (missed due to my sudden loss of income). They are now requiring $410.78 in towing and storage fees, making the total $503.84. This must be paid by Friday, August 8th or I will permanently lose the vehicle, which is critical for getting to work and medical appointments.
Food and clothing support
Legal assistance related to the workplace abuse, housing issues, and repossession
Pet resources: I have one dog and one cat and urgently need help with pet food, basic care, or temporary assistance
Any referrals to other programs that can help me stabilize my situation
If your organization can assist in any of these areas—or connect me with others who can—I would be deeply grateful. I am able to provide supporting documentation (proof of injury, court documents, repossession notice, etc.) as needed.
Thank you so much for your time, understanding, and any help you may be able to offer during this incredibly difficult time.
I live in Mesa AZ 85201, Pets: 1 cat, 1 dog.

Hi Dawn
Since Mesa is in Maricopa County, we are going to send you a couple options. This is for financial help programs in Maricopa County.
There are some other charities focused just on Mesa though, like Christian networks. Look for them here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... ork_a.html

What places in Mesa help low income people pay bills?

Post by Perkins »

Hi, my name is Dawn and I live in Mesa AZ. I am 64 years old, with disability; due to brain tumor/brain surgery twice; leaving me struggling with some issues, like memory, organization, "glitches" (sort of like if our brain was a computer, you'd get the stuck swirling "loading" icon; for my best way to describe it), etc..
By the way, this includes difficulty understanding and/or ability to understand and engineer my way through the processes of programs. Living on a fixed income.
I am desperately looking for financial assistance; specifically just help with my latest Mesa Water bill; only one month. I also need money for some medical costs. I got so behind from trying to keep up with electric, housing, healthcare, and food, I can't catch up. I am facing a disconnect notice.
The reason I figure I need help with ONLY one month is because after this week or two, the electric bill will reduce greatly as temperatures go down.
Can you PLEASE help me? If not through you, then resources?
Appreciate your assistance!
Thank you,
