The school close that often? Really? Sounds so odd. We get the COVID thing (in the past), but now? Anyway, check with the Head Start program in Urbana. And other places that may help with rent include these rent assistance programs in Urbana and Champaign County.

Hello, I am a single mom with 4 year old twins and I’m afraid I won’t be able to pay my rent in February. I was given your information by a member of my church here in Urbana. I have a good job but have been unable to work my usual schedule due to my children’s school closing frequently.
They attend Head Start Early Learning Center in Urbana, IL. They have cancelled school for numerous reasons over the recent months. A few of those reasons are having too many teachers call out in one classroom, plumbing issues, and holidays. I’m not sure how to apply for any type of program you may offer. I hope this message reaches whom it may concern. Just taking a leap of faith. Thank you.
