Since you live in Lowell (northern MA of Middlesex County) and work in NH, we are not sure of all the tax implications, etc. But as far as your residency, and the benefits you get like SNAP, REAP, etc. and additional help you need for those bills you reference, there are many places in the county that may help. My name Is Lakeisha. I am 61 years old. I live in Lowell MA and am getting rental assistance from REAP. I am getting food stamps from SNAP. I have filed for unemployment, but I live in Massachusetts, and I worked in NH, I applied first in Massachusetts after 4 weeks they informed me I needed to file in NH. I did but I've got nothing yet.
This all-started October 9th when I as scammed and hacked. they got into my bank account and drained it, in turn bouncing all my bill payments, rent, car, car insurance, storage and phone. I don't know how much help I can get but since the hack it's been like a domino effect of bad.
I went for a job interview one afternoon and I had 2 TWO flat tires and 1 donut, they were able to temporarily fix the 1 tire and donut on the other So, I've not been driving the car very far as I now need 4 tires because its AWD and an inspection sticker the shop quoted me $800.00 for 4 tires and sticker. I really need that so I can get back to work.
I also have car insurance $285.00 due the 20th of December or they cancel. I have a small storage unit that has all my winter clothes, Christmas decorations from 40 years on up and all my great grandmothers milk glass and crystal. I plan on just emptying it but must have $320.00 before it goes to Auction Jan 9th.
Then there's the car itself. I am behind 3 months@ $400.00 a month and they are putting it out for repossession
I also owe the bank still they actually closed the account and sent to collections. I figure as soon as I get back to work, I can work on that My Huge thing is my car getting legal and road worthy so I can get back to work and My storage unit for my sentimental things all I have left and my winter clothes.
I got fired from my job of 5 years at Lowes home improvement as I was in no shape to go to work, I was having a mental meltdown over the hack it also took my last checks, I didn't have time to change Direct Deposit information, so I was flat broke with no idea how to do any of this. So, they fired me.
So I really need this help no family they are all passed. My children have small children, and they are struggling, they do help me but don't have big dollars I need. I am grasping at straws. I started a Go Fund Me and got a whole 22 in a month so that's not working. I really don't know what to do I have the numbers for Salvation Army, Catholic Charities and St Vincent Depaul in Lowell.
I will call them Thursday morning. I also have 5 granddaughter's I need something for Christmas for. I had to cancel a job interview this morning as I have no gas. I am going to beg 1 son for some money for gas and cat food and go from there. Any help or direction you could give me would-be so appreciated and so helpful. I would be beyond grateful.
