Greetings to you,
We normally recommend an Agency Center, like you tried already. Since they will not help, did they have ideas for you? Regardless, also try the Boston and Somerville MA area Catholic Charities. They often help older people (or the disabled) with chores and more. Read about the Boston Catholic Charities, which also covers Somerville. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... _assi.html

Disabled and looking for chore help in Somerville MA
Greetings; I’m 54,disabled due to brain cancer, recently widowed and now live alone I'm having trouble keeping up with domestic chores in Sommerville. Do you know of any volunteer organizations that could provide me with occasional in home assistance in Somerville MA? I've tried the agency center and they want me to enroll in the Medicare waiver program but it requires me to give my consent for them to take any assets I may have effective upon my death which I hope is decades away. There has got to be a better way to get help around the house with chores like laundry and cleaning.
