Re: List of financial resources needed for Lincoln Nebraska

Hi,
I'm receiving Nebraska Social Security Disability each month on the 3rd. I need help getting a different car.
The car I have now is getting rust. Every auto body shop I try in the Lancaster area says to keep driving it until it quits. That could be a long time because I keep my car in regular maintenance.
I need a car that works well and has no rust so I may drive it for 10 to 14 years. I don't drive much. The car I have now has served me for 14 years. I'd keep it if someone would be kind enough to help me get the rust out and let me pay for it monthly or give me financial assistance for the insurance and costs to run it. I could pay $200 a month until it was paid off.
Can you help me with this and my gas and bills? Either help find an auto body shop to fix the rust or help me get a different car with no rust or help me with other bills? There is a site on Facebook the Market Place. I have seen some really nice cars, but no one will let me pay each month, I cannot get a loan, the seller won't come down on the price, or the car is way too expensive.
I'll listen. Please help me.

Hi Theresa,
We are not sure what resources you did or did not try (other than what you mentioned). But we do have many more programs for the Lincoln NE area. Some offer financial help others give out free items or help with employment or what not. But look here for a places to get help in Lincoln NE.

I’m trying to keep the gas off and things like that but my significant other has been laid off in Lincoln and I am only working 24 hours a week so things are really tough And I feel we’re about to go belly up and I’m really struggling. I live in Lincoln Nebraska Lancaster County.
My name is Theresa. If you could give me a list of resources that maybe I don’t know about. I’ve already reached out to Matt Talbot to Catholic charities And I just tried calling St. Vincent de Paul I know there’s community action every time I’ve ever called them for assistance. All of that gets given out before I can get any assistance so if you know of anything else or churches or anywhere that can help me with gas vouchers so I can get back-and-forth to work that would be great, thank you so much much
