Re: Government assistance
Hello, two months ago my wife had to have surgery and lost her job leaving me to pay all the bills. I had no problem with it. But then my job slowed down and I fell behind on bills. We have three kids that stay with us and are landlord don't want to hear that I will pay her something every week until paid up. So now she want to takes us to court to have us put out for $900.00 and I was just seeking help to prevent this from happening. If I can get the help I need it will be great. Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you guys.

Re: Government financial assistance
I’m in dire need of financial help. I live in Sherman Texas and every time I call a Red Cross or Salvation army and Resale barn usually they tell me that they are either out of money or they are only helping people if its a dying emergency. Vie lost my job a couple months ago and I broke my hand and being indigent I didn’t get the surgery I needed to get it fixed.
Living in this establishment is very hard as am taking care of my son and trying to support my fiancé with the bills only ends up with tears and frustration. We need help. We are about to lose our apartment very soon and we owe everyone in the book. Everyday is a struggle and everyday that’s struggle makes me want to fight even more to get out of our situation. I want to give up but seeing my son and my fiancé keeps me pushing to strive for something better. Please help.

Re: Benefits from government and public sources
I don’t consider myself special but maybe more scared or desperate. I decided to leave my last job back in December of 2013. My Step dad came to me and said he needed his hip replaced and needed me to join the family business which deals with fire safety. I started August 2013 I worked hard in coal mines power plants and refineries. After his operation he was quickly on his feet and I guess it became to much to have me on. As soon as I made my first mistake he let me go.
Since he paid me under the table until 4/1/14 he said in the beginning that he was doing it to help me since I was making less with him than at my last job but it seemed like he planned it to not pay unemployment when he did not need me anymore. So on paper I did not really work there long enough to get unemployment. He let me go right before my rent check and now I am scared and feel like me and my wife and three kids are going to lose our home. I am hard at applying but also know with every passing day we are getting deeper in rent and bills. I have never had to cry out for help like this I have always been the working man and family provider.
We have a girl and I just took on my wife’s four other children back in May. They are ages two and eight and five after years long custody battle with their drug abusing no good father. Now it feels like everything we just worked so hard for is falling apart.
Also to take the cake since I am the sole provider when we filed taxes. Someone out there filed me as there spouse. I took all the steps needed, I filed a stolen identity report but we will not see our taxes until July or August. I am not asking for much or a lot of public benefits. Even ten bucks helps and that’s ten towards rent, diapers, milk, wipes, or gas to continue the hunt for a job. Or the money will help us take our five year old to school. I would be even willing to pay back if blessed with any help with our taxes. I am a father lost and trying anything out there for help just to get us by until I am back at work taking care of my families needs.

Re: Government financial assistance
I'm a single mother with three boys that I have joint custody with their father. I work in home health care and recently I haven't gotten any hours at one of my jobs. I'm behind on money due to having to pay utilities and provide food for my family.
My rent is $350.00 each month and is actually do on the first but can be paid on the 5th. There isn't any way possible for me to make that payment for the month and I'm in need of a little assistance. I have $50 to my name and no one around that can afford to help. I only make $180 a week and I have other bills as well. Is there any way that I can get any government assistance? It would be greatly appreciated. If I can't pay rent then I'm not going to be able to have a place for myself or my boys to live. Please and thank you. Again I would greatly appreciate it!
You can contact me through this email if you will please.

Re: Government assistance
I am a new first time mother. Even though my husband and I both work full time we are having severe difficulties. Due to fraudulent documents having been submitted, my husband is paying $830 child support for his first child (only one child). This is literally half his income. His ex-wife had him falsely arrested this summer. All the charges were dropped and expunged, but we now have legal bills on top of the medical bills from my son’s birth in December.
His daughter is living in a house that does not have consistently running water and has been found to have drugs. The mother is on 15 counts of TNcare fraud for doctor shopping. We need to get her safe, but I cannot let my son starve to accomplish this. Clarksville DCS is being investigated on the state level for children being hurt in custody and has not been very helpful. My husband working full time and I have many health problems. Please help us.

Re: Public assistance
Well, most of the public aid is only for lower income families, no matter the story or issue. Kentucky does have several programs and benefits available though, so call your local social or human service office. Maybe you can qualify for resources such as LIHEAP. Or you can always turn to more moderate income solutions as well such as non-profit credit counseling. Find a listing of public benefits in Kentucky.

Re: Benefits from government and public sources
That is several different issues. Maybe look into low income, government subsidized and/or public housing. After that, file for SSDI disability benefits. The disabled can sometimes get transportation (but very rarely) from saying aging centers. We do have extensive details on benefits from public agencies and the government listed, and those can be found here at public assistance benefits.

Re: Government assistance
If you were hurt at work did you apply for workmen compensation or disability? Your employer in Indiana should be required to offer this to you. However there are other government and public assistance programs that can maybe give you food, funds for heating and utilitties, and even housing. There is a social service administration that you want to call. Find more details on Indiana public and government aid.

Re: Government financial assistance
There are many government and public assistance programs, both local (such as at county), state, and federal level. We have information on most of them on the site. They include things like utility bill programs, housing and rent help, and even child care if you need it for your son. Now each public assistance program will have its own application process, so you need to take those steps and apply for aid. But there are many to choose from. Find out listing of state and other programs. Continue reading.
Benefits from government and public sources
Hi. I currently fell behind one month on my rent. I recently had a car accident in a car I was paying a Chapter 13 on and had bad insurance which didn't cover any of my expenses. I had to covert to a Chapter 7 and paid with my rent money. I only receive social security disability benefits from the state of Nevada for systemic lupus. I do also get some public food aid. I haven't been able to get around now to do any part time work without a vehicle now. I have tried using transportation from disability office and the local county government, but it is hard to coordinate. In addition to having a lupus flare due to the stress of this situation. Please help me get back on track? Please help me my rent is $650. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Re: Public assistance
To whom it may concern:
I am currently unemployed, NOT pregnant nor do I have children. I currently owe student loans but want to go back to school so I can get a well paying job. I do have a possible health condition per my doctor but cannot afford the necessary tests to verify the issue.
I have a roommate that helps me when needed but I cannot afford to buy my own groceries, fix my car, or better myself at this time. All I want is to work and have a normal life again. The last time I asked for help from the state I was told that because I had no children and was not pregnant the state would not help me and I do not qualify for public assistance. I have been a "good girl" and have never taken advantage of the system and I do not understand why I cannot get any help. I see 21 year old children receiving thousands of dollars a month and it doesn't make sense.
I do not have unemployment, although i was let go from my previous position due to medical reasons. I have also been denied for disability because I cannot afford the tests required by my doctor to show that I need help.
This is my last hope. Please let me know if there is aid available for someone like me. I need to go to school, work, and live a productive life until my illness may or may not stop that.
Please help me. If you cannot help please let me know.

Re: Government assistance
I live in Vernon, Indiana. I am writing you in hope of getting some kind of aid, I have worked since I was 18 and never asked for help. In January 2013 I broke my leg and I was off until March 14 2013 when I was cleared by doctor to return to work. I then had to take a return to work physical where another health matter was found. I haven’t had a pay check since September 9 2012, when I was cleared to return to work on March 14 2013. My workers comp was cut off, my company is not paying anything for the leg saying it is not work related so I haven’t had any kind of income since March and needless to say got bills piled a mile high and water has been shut off for 3 weeks now. Electric is about to be shut off and I’m behind in my house payment then on top of everything else, the clutch transmission in my Ford ranger went out and I’m outta a vehicle now. I have been turned down for aid everywhere I have applied so if you receive this and can help, please call me.

Re: Government financial assistance
I’m in need in moving out of my mother's home. It’s not ideal for my son and me. No washer or dryer and no working air conditioner. I’m working as a babysitter but it’s not enough to pay the bills. I’m on government assistance with insurance and food. I make roughly $500 a month and I cannot settle for a bad neighborhood for my son and for myself. If there's a program that could cover half of my rent and utilities that'll be great. I do not receive child support. I do everything on my own.

I need to pay for schools fees, plus I have just started college and can't even buy texts books I need. I also need to get the help for my little girl cost me a lot as I’m a single mum, this is the first time it's been this hard for my family.

Re: Public assistance
We do have information on where to turn to for information on public assistance. The government, whether federal or state, administers tons of resources for the poor and low income. They can help seniors, covers all states (including Virginia) and help the needy. You will need to qualify though, but it can be an option when you have now where else to turn to for help. Read more public assistance.
Re: Public assistance

I need public assistance for rent, utilities, food, etc. until my SSI is processed. This is a short term need. I need this ASAP because I presently have no money.

Re: Public assistance
So we are not sure of your request, but it seems like you need free food and information on pantries in Texas. If so, then you can find information, addresses, and phone numbers here at Texas food pantries. Many resources drill down to town and county level too, so be sure to look around the primary site for details and information.

Im inquiring for my sister who is moving to Texas. She currently lives in Minnesota and has a social worker who usually works with her on this stuff and am looking for one for her down here. She currently receives medical assistance in Minnesota and also receives SSI. She receives food stamps and WIC as well. I am curious as to who she can work with and get things setup here in Texas and what the qualifications are for public assistance and aid etc. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. She was in a bad car accident and has no family in Minnesota. All of us live down here in Texas now. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.
