FCC (Free Charity Cars) really focuses on people who need a vehicle for work. Not just "getting around". So not sure if that is the program for you or not, but read about their service here. https://freecharitycars.org/

You say you are in Houston? There are a few dedicated organizations in the city (and Harris County) you can try for a car. Can anyone get you to the application site? Southern CA is so expensive for housing and many people do, sadly, sleep in their car. But getting a free vehicle seems unlikely - as most charity programs give out a free or low-cost car for people that need it for work. Not sleeping in. Have you tried a shelter in the area? Anyway, you can always check around and here is a list of charity programs for a free car.
But again, they focus on employment needs, but you can try.

I wanted to know if you or another organization you know of helped homeless people get cheap used / or free donated cars?
I'm a domestic violence victim who has been found in every state I have lived in until now, due to my abuser hiring a private eye and using other ways online to find me.(debit card, background searches etc.)
I was hoping I could spend a small amount of money to get cheap used or maybe a charity will give me a free vehicle or camper to sleep in?
Figure I can live in the car, get a job, and be ok, return to a semi normal life.

Now, it's hard to stay clean, keep an appointment or be safe. I was assaulted the other night while sleeping.ie, I change where I sleep for safety reasons and cannot keep a job as a result for this reason too.
I just want to be safe so I can work again.

W have different car giveaway programs listed on our site. But Dublin probably does not have one - as too small. But a non-profit to try is called Opportunity Cars. They may have resources for you.
Also, as we are sure you saw from this thread we have other options listed too - with this being our main car list.

As noted on this site, we have many programs offered that help people get a car. While of course they are rare, it is possible. Look here for a free car from a non-profit.

There are non-profits that give out free cars, such as Goodwill, Ways to Work programs and some community action groups too. But the process takes time and it is not a crisis service. Also, some will require minimal good faith payments or have other criteria. I have severely messed up my lower back to the point where I was unable to walk and am just now as of today able to walk decently on my own, because of this i haven't been able to work and now I am our of money to fix my car or get a new one. Hello, my name is Vernon. I'm writing you because I'm in urgent need of an automobile from a local non-profit. I'm a single father with a 2 year old. Her mother has recently removed herself from our lives do to choices of her own. I was an over the road Truck Driver who was planning on coming off of the road to become a local driver prior to my daughter's 2nd birthday. Which was June 24th.
However, after I made that transition of return. I found that we were getting evicted on that exact same day. This was beyond me, being that I was sending her up to 800.00 weekly. This was the craziest thing ever. I was so distraught and disappointed. But mostly curious of where all that money was going. Needless to say, We became homeless and now live in a shelter. A car will help me get back to work.
Not long after being here at the shelter at the non-profit my fiance began to leave at night with these off the wall excuses of why she needed to leave. It didn't take long to see the obvious issue. She had gotten on drugs and we ended up losing everything. Down to the vehicle that I left in her possession. It's been repo'd because she unknowingly to me had gotten a title loan that she didn't pay off. I haven't been Able to go back to work because I have yet to receive child care that would provide me the hours. As well as a car that would get me there.
She's sine left and hasn't returned because of her own personal issues. The Shelter has banned her and she has a disturbing the peace charge as well. Now I have filled for full custody along with a protection order that will keep her away from my daughter. I'm really hurting that this has happened. Yet I'm grateful for the timing. There is no telling what this baby could have witnessed already or better yet what would have happened with her. I have gotten her a scholarship to enroll in this program. It's a daycare with a classroom setting. The hours are perfect for me as a single parent to maintain a good job and provide for her needs.
So If there is any way possible that I could be eligible for any assistance available from a non-profit. I would be so grateful. I wrote vehicle in the subject line because it's a definite issue that has put a strain on any progress that has come about. Please consider me and my babygirl. I pray that we qualify for your program. Thank you for your time .
Hi Pearl, We have various non-profits to try for a free car or transportation service in SC, as well as nationwide. Since you need it for work, that makes your request a little more likely to be addressed. But look here for free car in South Carolina.

I always try to remind them that we are so blessed and that so many children and people do not even know what pizza taste like or coke and that we are so blessed to just have clean clothes and food.
If you have any programs or can point me in the right direction to a non-profit free car program, I would APPRECIATE anything.
I am willing to work for it pay in monthly installments until I can get back on my feet.
I have worked since I was 14 years old. I have had nice cars, run down cars, No car. I even have slept in my car. So, this isn't really for me well It is because I am the adult but more so that my children feel safe, and I feel safe driving them.
I know there are so many people that are in worse situation then me.
Anything that you can do to just help me either fix or get a car. I would be more then Thankful, but I promise to pay it forward.
