I am writing requesting help with my City of Austin utility bill. My name is Michael. I am a 65-year-old veteran. I am at risk of having my electricity disconnected any day now. I really, really need help paying this bill.
My wife just passed away, and I am limited with funds to pay my electricity at this time. I also am requesting assistance with much-needed household items, such as oven mitts, a mop, a broom, towels both big and small for showering, and also for the kitchen. Rugs for the kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen pots and pans, as well as silverware. A blow-up mattress because I do not have a bed.
I am writing requesting cleaning supplies, including bleach, Pine-Sol, Mr. Clean Erasers, toilet bowl sanitizers, glass cleaning products, carpet cleaning products, and air sanitizers/air filtration items to better assist with my breathing by reducing harmful toxins that can develop without notice or even acknowledgement. It would greatly be a blessing to receive blankets, sheets, pillowcases, curtains, as well as clothes, shoes, and socks.
Personal hygiene items such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, a comb and brush, razors, shaving cream, bar soap/shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Band-Aids, isopropyl alcohol, as well as peroxide, Q-tips, oral gel, and antibiotic ointment. I am sure I have understandably forgotten things much needed by a 70-year-old veteran who is struggling to acquire these necessities due to high costs and affordability reasons. With the loss of a loved one and the expenses that have come about, insect and bug spray such as Raid, as well as solutions for gnats, spiders, etc., are also very appreciated items to receive.
I pray that whomever reads this takes time out of the kindness of their heart to not only read this, but to go a step further and reach out to churches and organizations who would generously and thoughtfully work with one another to kindly assist with the donations I have humbly and genuinely requested.

Let me start by saying thank you for your time first of all. I'm not really sure if this is the right place to email... my name is Kat and I'm in Austin, Texas. My mother lives in Huntington, Texas and has gone to a service about a year ago (I took her there) and they were gracious enough to pay a utility bill.
I've been paying for what I can, but as you can imagine as most places are these days, everything just costs so much money. This month I won't be able to help her with her light bill. Maybe her landline bill as well. But I'm not sure what's considered a utility since it seems like no one has a landline these days anymore. I work from 8-5 M-F and do delivery jobs around those hours where I can. Recently my car broke down so I've been taking the bus to work and can no longer get extra income from the delivery services I was working for. This has inhibited me to be able to help my mom and also make a way to come see her at this time to take her anywhere.
She also does not have a car anymore unfortunately. If this isn't the place to email, are there any pieces of info that may guide me in the right place? She is a veteran and her funding was recently stopped for six months as well, so it does feel like an emergency.
