Not sure why they gave this contact as the website just gives information on programs and the forum too, so that is odd. Either way five months behind is getting serious, but if you're only in the first stage of foreclosure there's still time to try and work something out. But definitely call a HUD-approved housing counselor and the main customer support is at 800-569-4287 because they can refer you to someone in Florida or talk you through options. As HUD will often work directly with the lender on repayment plans or other options, and it's free.
I'd also ask your mortgage company if they have any hardship or loss mitigation programs or look into state of FL programs since you couldn't return to work after having your son.

Hi,
My mortgage company helped me find your contact today. I am reaching out dearly for help with my mortgage payments. I am over 120 days overdue (five months approaching 6 months to be exact) and am in the first stage of foreclosure. This year was an extreme challenge for me. I was unable to go back to work after I had my son in March.
I am a single mother that has always worked and provided for my family while helping anyone I could have over the years but now, I am in the position that really need help and does not have anybody. My church is very small, only a few members and have blessed me several times with the utilities and I am so thankful for that I cannot wait tile this challenge is over so I can bless my church back. I have been trying to find resources and work but I am running out of time. Please respond and let me know If you and your organization can help me in any way.
Thank you for your time and Consideration,

I live in Palm Beach County Florida area ZIP Code is 33463. I am needing financial assistance for mortgage help. Five months behind. I called a number for the Florida Hardest Hit Fund but they are no longer helping in the state of Florida. Program was ended and I was advised. If you can please provide any Contacting agencies phone numbers for assistance in paying mortgage or some type of financial assistance here in Florida would be greatly appreciated.
Great of you to back to to school to improve your situation. As far as what you can do right now for your mortgage, there are many programs to try in Florida. While we are not sure if there is anything focused on Native Americans/Indians, they would definitely not be an option in Florida. As the state or your bank can't "reverse" discriminate and give you priority for mortgage relief. But as you work towards that RN degree, you use for Florida mortgage assistance programs.

Hello,
Iām in the process of trying to send in my information to receive my card to show that I have Indian on both sides of my family and that my grandfather is Cherokee. With times being so hard, extra money is something I do not have, let alone having the money to keep up with my mortgage. I am in the process of trying to go back to school for RN to try to find another job. I'm struggling with my bills and have been taking care of my dad since he had to have an emergency surgery last December. I hold a BS degree in computer Info System and a masters degree in health care admin. I am also a Pharmaceutical Tech and certified in CPR and First aid. I am only making $9.35 an hour as of today. Was making $9.15, just received a raise of .20 cents. I have been doing what I can to keep my home and Iām not trying to loose it. Iām looking for help. Can a representative please give me a call?
To ensure we understand, you foreclosed, Fanny Mae bought it, and now they evicted you? They are not leasing it back to you? If this is the case and they own it, the Fannie Mae is under no obligation to fix it as they own it. They can do whatever they want with your home. We always recommend starting with a non-profit credit or HUD counseling agency for any mortgage assistance. There are dozens of agencies in Florida. A good listing of them is on the site. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... _fore.html
Dear Sirs:
I am 55 Years old and live in Florida. I was wondering if there are any programs to help me with lowering my Mortgage payment and the cost to me, if any. I am fearing a potential foreclosure. I'm about $20,000 in credit card debt. My current mortgage payment is $830 per month (total). My income is from SS & a retirement pension. Gross amounts are SS $1554 and my retirement pension is $1126. I have an IRA from my deceased husband's employment. I have to withdraw from it and it is quickly being depleted. If you could let me know if I qualify for any assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Sincerely,
We are facing eviction, Fanny Mae recently bought our house and there are so many problems with it, they are unwilling to repair what needs to be fixed, we have NO income and nowhere to go. My boyfriend is in the middle of applying for disability, but that could take months. We have a 7 month old son. I don't have a drivers license and we don't live close to any bus stops, so getting to any kind of job would be very difficult for me. We are so behind on every bill, our utilities are about to be shut off. We need help in every area right now. Ultimately, I would like to try to relocate to Jacksonville Florida, where I am more familiar and able to get to a job easier. I want to be self sufficient, it's just getting over this hurdle that we need help with. It seems like there is an obstacle from every direction.
Florida offers numerous foreclosure and mortgage assistance programs. This resource lists many of them. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... _fore.html
Homeowners in Florida can take advantage of mediation programs, the HOPE Task Force, assistance programs offered by the Florida Office of Financial Regulation (OFR) to prevent foreclosures, and the Mortgage Foreclosure Defense Project, to name but a few. Basically the state has been hit hard, but they do offer homeowners various mortgage and foreclosure solutions.
My 21 year old son with no insurance has been diagnosed with large bcell cancer stage 4 and lives with me and I'm unemployed and need financial help. The bills are adding up and don't know where to turn. We live in the state of Florida. Our water is turned off and we are pending foreclosure. my son was turned down for medicad and social security disability due to not enough earned credits. How can the bank foreclosure on my home when we are sick. Don;t they have any compassion? This is not right.
