Re: I am a type 1 diabetic
Hi Jennifer,
We have information on diabetes supplies, including for Type 1 too. They are often free, and locate free supplies for diabetics. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... uppli.html
As far as applying for the SSI disability for the type 1 diabetes, if you are still struggling with that you recommend looking into a advocate. They can help people get SSI, go over your medical records, maybe help accelerate the process. Find information on disability advocates. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... y_adv.html

Re: I am a type 1 diabetic
Hi! I'm Jennifer from Memphis TN. I need help getting a grant. I'm been trying to get SSI Disability as I am type 1 diabetic. I have type 1 diabetes and a few other health problems. I don't have insurance or money to go to the Doctor and get my 8 medicines. I haven't had any of my medicines in a year. I haven't had any way to pay my city and county property taxes. I'm fixing to lose my house because of it. If you can point me in a good direction.
Re: diabetic assistance?
Hello, I am
I am Interested in receiving information about your programs, for people on Medicare. And Information on your diabetic testing supplies. I'm currently a type Two diabetic and I am currently using a one touch ultra. I was looking for a glucose monitor that has the black light option. You may fax me any information that you may have that I may be eligible for. Thank you.

We have a list of programs focused on diabetes and those needs. Then, being a single mom, use the rest of the site for the financial aid. As far as the medical needs, find free diabetes medications, including insulin and more.

Re: diabetic assistance?
I am a single mother of 2 and am highly diabetic and barely working in DC Public Schools. I need medicines, food, shelter, clothing, furniture, and funds to help with utilities (electric, gas, and water). I would like to find some housing that is low income or work with your income and find housing without utilities or utilities included. PLEASE we may be put out on the street soon and the weather is changing. My family is dying out and don't have other help.
Re: diabetic assistance?
I was a homeless in Hawaii for 4 1/2 months until my sister paid my fair and invited me to stay with her and her family. I don't have Medicare and I am very sick. I have Diabetes type I and I don't have my medication. My sister has kids of her own and paying a lot of her bills, so she cannot support me as well, I would like to work but when I overwork myself my blood pressure goes up and so does my diabetes. Please I need help even if it’s just for a while, I need cash assistance, medication for my diabetes and Medicare as well as food.

Re: I have type 2 diabetes
To whom it may concern,
I was laid off in April of 2017. My salary at that time was $132,000.00. I have been trying to find a new job and been unable as I do not have a college degree. I was lucky enough to work my way up in my industry. I have Celiac Disease (which requires me to adhere to a Gluten Free diet, as Gluten triggers an auto-immune reaction) and Type 2 diabetes and my last employer kept my travel to a minimum and allowed me to work from home as a result of my medical issues. Given the travel requirements of my last position it was clear that I would need to change career fields I recently took my 4 40 Insurance class and know that I will be able to gain employment as soon as that license is processed.
In the interim I have maxed out my unemployment, cashed in my 401K and am currently being reviewed to continue on my food stamps. I am struggling to pay for the prescriptions that I have because adhering to my diet is far more costly than food stamps can cover. I live in St. Johns, FL 32259 and the rent on my current home is 1900.00 a month. I know that we need to downsize, but not only do I not have the funds to move but I can't afford a deposit or even application fees for apartments at this point. I have one car that is on the verge of being repossessed and the other is now 30 days past due.
My husband is employed through Baptist South and his hourly rate is 11.03 per hour. He tries to pick up as many extra shifts as possible, but we have come to a point where eviction is looking like it is inevitable. I have a 16 year old son who is also working on the weekends to help pay the bills.
I really need someone to point me in the right direction, as my type 2 diabetes makes it tough. I do not need long term assistance, I need assistance getting through this month and finding a new place that is within our new income bracket.

I have type 2 diabetes
I just got laid off from my job, with no re-hire for at least 6 months from today. I just recently found out that I need Gall Bladder surgery in October and I’m also a type 2 diabetic and I have many, many other health issues. My request is Medicaid, EBT, rent assistance ($325.00 monthly due on the 1st of each month). I also need a car to get to my doctor Appointments and to search for a job. My car payment is $220.00 monthly. I need help with that and my car insurance bill each month. PLEASE HELP. I HAVE NO FAMILY and NO FRIENDS THAT CAN HELP ME!

Re: diabetic assistance?
That is great of your landlord if they did not evict you yet. Many do not do this. But call around to some of the charities in Washington County Maryland. They can not only help with filing for bankruptcy, but also offer other medical care for diabetes, medications, and more. There are also clinics in Maryland for diabetics, so try them. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... ce_p6.html

Re: diabetic assistance?
I have no heat, water, the lights are to be turned off Thursday. My job declared bankruptcy owing me over 6,000. My daughter and her family were evicted because her husband failed to call into Family Dollar from ICU although my daughter did call. My son is in school but his grant has not come in yet. I had two heart attacks, open heart surgery and am dependent on disability as diabetic.
I was a minister's wife for 28 years and helped people with these problems now this catastrophe has happened to my family and I can't get any help. It is cold here and there are two sick children here, please help. I have a Christian landlord who hasn't evicted me yet although I am months behind. Please help.

Not sure. When it comes to tax matters or those type of issues, you need to speak to a professional. If you use this link for credit counseling agencies, many of them can offer information on tax matters too. Or at least point you in the right direction.
