Trevor, it honestly sounds like you’re trying hard to get back on your feet and do things the right way, even with a lot stacked against you.
Since transportation is the biggest issue right now, ask the rescue mission at (816) 421-7643 and your parole officer specifically about local bus pass programs or reentry assistance in Kansas City. Some nonprofits and workforce programs help with monthly passes for medical and parole-related appointments, especially for people waiting on disability income to start. Hopefully once your SSI/SSDI payments begin, things will stabilize more for you.

Ex-con - registered * offender needs help - how?
Hi, my name is Trevor and I am seeking help with any form of help you have available or simply information at the least. I feel it necessary to inform you upfront that I am an ex-con recently released from prison and I am registered * offender. I have found that that has made a difference in the last 7 weeks of the effort I have put forth trying to rebuild everything that I threw away.
I am currently staying in a Kansas City rescue mission but have been fortunate enough to receive help renting a room in a house I am waiting for my parole officer to approve. I am a disabled citizen who is already been reinstated I am waiting for confirmation and to receive my first payment, so I do not know how to pay the next month's rent and more immediate problem I'm having is transportation.
It seems at this moment simply getting to and from the appointments that I have is my biggest problem I was told you guys can help with bus passes. I do have my Medicare card for a reduced fare, but I do not have the funds. I would be grateful for any help you could give me. Someone to simply pointing me in the right direction is something I am lacking. I look forward to hearing from you I have been hearing about your organization for over ten yes in prison. Yours with thanks, Trevor.
