Hi, my name is Thema, and I live in Warren Michigan and I really need help with my rent. I'm three months behind; I applied for cera and would have been approved but I didn't realize they changed their rules right before I made payment to my balance. I was already behind two months so on 1/26 I made a payment of $2000.
I did not have the money on my own. I borrowed $500 from my grandma, $1000 from my best friend and the rest I took from a go fund me account that I had to set up because last year my daughters dad passed away on the 7th and I wanted to throw him a memorial for her to say her last goodbyes.
Had I known that cera was going to deny me for making a payment I wouldn't have made it I tried to ask my landlord three times if they could provide me with something saying I still owe for last year and they didn't want too. I don't have any options I don't want to leave my place I just moved in September. I have courses and school I need to finish, and I know once I complete those, I can make better money, but I can't focus on that cause I'm trying to work what I can to pay what I can. I have an appointment with social security office in Warren in May to get benefits for my daughter and I know once I can get that it will help me not be so far behind.
