Hey Tania, wow, you’ve got a lot on your plate and it’s totally understandable you’re feeling stretched. You’re doing so much for your family. Start by checking out education and emergency grants at https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... bills.html
and some of what they got listed can help pay school or medical costs directly. For your parents, you might be able to get Medicaid or low-cost treatment help through https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... bills.html or are they on SSI disability? Try that with a link here https://www.ssa.gov/ssi

Re: Medical bill resources for seniors
Hello everyone. My name is Tania. First of all, I want to say that whoever is able to help me will be giving me the best Christmas gift I could ever wish for. My dad, who is 67, is tremendously sick with dialysis and Alzheimer’s. I take care of all his medical bills. My mom is also a senior and is mentally ill as well. I have two siblings that are younger that I also provide for. I’m a student at AUL and majoring in HR with a GPA of 3.3. I have been having a hard time paying for my education not to mention caring for them and their medical costs. I stopped going to university because I could not afford it anymore. I’m in $3,000 worth of debt and I’m not able to pay them off due to all the medical bills and providing for my family. I’m in need of help. If you are able to help me that would be great. If not, keep me in your prayers. I appreciate it tremendously and I’m so thankful for any contributions.

One option is to contact the senior Medical Patrol, or MTP. This is a group of volunteers and even companies that offer free information to seniors on accessing medical care. In particular, they focus on the billing aspects of it, and ensure people are charged correctly. They are called SMPs in most states, and an agency on aging office may be a great resource to call for them. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... atrol.html

Re: Medical bill resources for seniors
I am a 63 year old male. I have no medical and no job. I have approximately 9000 of hospital bills I cannot pay as I had to go into hospital to have a catheter to drain bladder. I take approximately 10 medications daily. Some I have stopped because of price. I’ve had stroke and heart attack and major depression I only get 1600 a month social security and my mortgage is 1800. I need someone to talk to and see if I can get some help, any help would be appreciated. I have no family and I have just about given help. Thanks much.

Medical bill resources for seniors
I live in Naples, Fl and am finding it very difficult to continue my health care even though I am on a reduced fee/sliding scale at The Friendship Senior clinic. Being a 2 times cancer patient, I am experiencing side effects which are causing me to have frequent medical appointments.
Even though my visits average $35 each, this has become almost impossible for me to continue. I am reaching out to all organizations I can for help, but can find no organization in or around Naples, Fl that may help pay my medical costs. Any help or information that you can provide is appreciated.
