Hi,
If you only need $50 in rent, and you live in Sonoma County (where cost of housing is outrageous!) then in relative terms $450 is not too bad. There are some places in the county and city of Petaluma that can help, and they are listed here at Petaluma and Sonoma County rental assistance. Try those oraganizations.

Rent assistance places needed in Petaluma
I live in Petaluma, CA and am behind on my rent for this month and am losing my housing in about a month or so. My friend/landlord informed me just a few days ago. I don't know if I have any renters' rights without a contract. I have about half of my $900 rent and a job starting next month, but no housing options for now. I cannot receive traditional program help because I have no rental contract because I have just been renting a room for myself and my 17-year-old son from a friend since January. We will be homeless if I do not find a place, and my friend/landlord is demanding all of the rent by the 15th, which is pretty much impossible. I have a car, but it is not registered yet. I am willing to work through a program, but I am not an addict or victim of domestic violence and so I can find few to no options at this time. Please help any way you can, even if it is just to provide relevant information. Thank you.
