Hi Kassandra
That sounds amazing what you are trying to do, as you stressed trying to help you kid. So admirable. Sounds like no child support too? But ere are places in Miami that help pay rent, as you mentioned you are in Miami. We assume Miami FL? If so, use what we sent.

My name is Kassandra. I’m a single mother doing everything I possibly can to give my daughter a better life. For years, it’s been just the two of us — and no matter how hard things have gotten, I’ve never given up on building something more for her.
After leaving a dangerous relationship with her father, who struggles with addiction, I started from scratch — parenting full time, working full time, and going back to school full time to earn my bachelor’s degree. Through sheer determination, I’ve worked my way up in the healthcare field. And finally, after years of surviving, we were this close to having a safe and stable home in a new city where my daughter can thrive.
But now I’m terrified — because I’m falling short at the last second.
Due to my current landlord selling the home I rent in Miami, I had to find new housing on short notice. I found a new home — a safe, beautiful place where my daughter can grow and feel secure. I paid the deposits and fees with everything I had. But now, I’m short $700 that must be paid by June 5 to complete the lease and an additional $716 for the move itself. Without this support, I will lose the home and everything I’ve worked so hard for — and we’ll be left without a place to go.
My daughter, Jeny, is turning 7 in August. She has the most beautiful, empathetic soul I have ever seen — in a child or an adult. It’s a cliché to say she lights up every room, but I say it with sincerity. No matter where we are — a store, a restaurant, a waiting room — people go out of their way to tell me she’s brightened their day. She talks to strangers like they’re old friends and brings joy into people’s lives without even trying. She deserves a life filled with stability and peace — and I’m doing everything I can to give that to her.
I’m reaching out now in desperation. I’m not asking for a handout — I’m asking for a chance to cross this last, painful hurdle so I don’t lose it all. If you or your organization could assist in any way, it would mean the world to me and my daughter. I’m happy to provide documentation of the lease, deposits, moving needs — anything at all.
Thank you for your time, your heart, and your compassion.
