Hi, my name is Teresa. It's been really hard here in Yuba City these last few months for my husband and me. He used to work every day doing irrigation as a farmer. But his ride car broke down.
So, he had to do other field jobs. He likes to work in the field and on farms but it's hard when depending on another person. My mom sent me money to buy a motor home, and I did the people couldn't deliver it and I went to get it because it had no gas. When I went to get it two days later because it needed a lot of gas. It was towed away. It just keeps getting worse.
We rented a trailer from a lady, and she sold it. The new owner came at two in the morning and told us to get out. We lost everything. I grew up in a Methodist Church in Livingston, Ca. And in Sacramento off of Freeport. I live in Yuba City. I don't know what else to do.

Hello, my name is Matisha and I am a farmer from Hardinsburg Indiana. I am reaching out to you today because my family had a tragedy happen. My sister was found lifeless. When have been trying to come up with all of the funeral expenses by donations from friends and family, and creating a go fund me account. Unfortunately we still don’t have enough as the farm business had a bad year. My parent’s even took a loan out. So I’m asking if there is any way you or someone you may know could help us we would be so elated and thankful, not to mention blessed? Thank you, and have a blessed day.

Collin County where? LIHEAP is a state program. Regardless there are USDA programs for farmers, housing, energy help for rural communities and more. As some government aid is focused on what are classified as rural communities. Find there here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... ities.html

What can farmers do for help?

Post by Lunchlady »

Hello,
We are farmers who need assistance. We are a struggling dairy farm milking 60 cows with no outside hired help. Just my husband and me. We are looking for assistance with our electric bill which always runs high because of the farm, and all the equipment and fans needed.
We did apply and receive Energy Assistance but have already used what was allocated to use. Between Fuel oil for the house and we had 30 percent put out our electric bill. We are still in a shut off status, but we are working with the utility company on arrangements. We need help paying the bills on our farm so we can work it, make money, and don't lose the farm.
Currently I am unable to meet these arrangements because we had our truck in for repairs and also our skid loader, 2 things we can’t live without on a farm.
I am looking for any assistance that might be available.
Thank you
Laurie
