There is a family I know of who is in desperate need of rental and utility bill assistance.
Father has just been jailed, currently awaiting trial, and does not look as if he'll be out anytime soon. Mother is left with 6 kids, a new job making only $10 an hr. They are behind in rent and utilities and possibly facing eviction. DC says they are not financially able to help.
I would greatly appreciate any info you can provide that will help this family out.
The family lives in Crestview in Okaloosa County.
Please respond as soon as possible. The situation is desperate.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Jill,
That seems like a long list of needs. Try this for for help in Crestview and Okaloosa County. But that is great you have a short term place to stay.

Where in Crestview FL can I get financial help?
My name is Jill, I'm 56 with a two-year-old little service dog, I'm one hundred percent disabled, (since 2003), and I've been homeless since February 2cd, 2024. I've been in a you haul since October 24th and been making payments to the owner, but this method of shelter is extremely costly. I'm in an arrangement just trying to make payments towards the fees; it's been difficult keeping up with basic needs like water, electricity, bathing facilities, because of the cost. My disability check is almost exhausted again this month.
After ten months of homelessness, I have finally found an apartment in Crestview, but now I'm in desperate need of assistance from the community. I've lost my car, my belongings, my furniture, and clothes. What I have left is in the you-haul. I'm praying as I request a money chain towards housing assistance, (like a prayer chain), to disperse & divide my financial needs throughout the community so I'll be able to get into an available apartment as soon as possible. I'm not able financially to continue paying payments for your haul, and with the extremely cold weather hitting us, I'm scared for what the very near future holds for us.
The apartment owner, in Crestview, Fl. 32536, is holding a studio apartment that's furnished & has everything included, even cable & internet, while I collect the funds. My assistance goal for my unit is $1590. The fees are $795.00 security deposit & $795.00 rental payment up front. I have all documentation, plus the lease agreement needed for any paperwork required. I will attach my I.D. and lease here. I have all other requirements ready to upload.
Right now, I am safe, as The Methodist Church in Crestview funded me until Monday the 11th with a voucher for a hotel room. I have exhausted my disability funds already on gas, water, food, and fees. It's winter and very cold in the you haul. I'm desperately reaching out to everyone for some immediate relief. I have a spinal injury/ multiple fusion with failed hardware; broken screws, and presently, I can't move too well, my hands are swollen, my feet are numb, & my spine isn't capable of long spans of walking, standing, sitting, and heavy lifting.
In closing, I hope that you will please respond as soon as possible. I will forever be grateful & thankful for you reading my letter.
