Re: Toledo Ohio list of assistance programs needed

Post by Manzel »

Hello,
My name is Miya. I am seeking assistance for my electric bill. I am a resident of Lucas County in Toledo, Ohio. I did not qualify for PIPP as they went back 90 days in my income. I unexpectedly lost my job in March of 2025 and I do not have any income at this time. My unemployment was denied by my previous employer. My outstanding balance is $2,300. This is my back PIPP amount and I cannot seem to find assistance with any of that amount. I am single mother of 2 children and my electricity has been off since May 3rd. I am seeking some assistance as I have contacted every agency in Lucas County to try and piece the money together as much as I can. I am applying for jobs every day and waiting for a call back for any job available. If there is any help for me...It would be greatly appreciated. I would like to thank you in advance for any assistance you may offer me. A list of agencies, some. Sort of grant or assistance to put toward my bill. Thank you in advance for any information you would offer me in my time of need.
Sincerely

Hello my name is Matthew
I hate to even ask for help but with the holidays right around the corner, How about I tell you about our situation.
I'm disabled and 56 years old and I live with my wife and daughter, almost all of my extended family members have passed away because of the drug epidemic.
Well my daughter is also disabled from scoliosis. She's 28 years old and she doesn't leave the house very much, this year we were forced to leave a house that I inherited. I found a apartment but I don't have the money to get my little family anything. First time ever all my check goes for rent and food so what is left I have to hang on to, I also had my car repoed, so I'm trying to save money to get a car.
I'm the only driver in the house, but what I really wanted is to get my daughter a new recliner chair. The one she has is broken down
Thank You for letting me ramble
Matthew
Toledo, Ohio 43605 that's Lucas county
