What programs in Virginia will give me a free car?

Hello, my name is Kasita. One of my friends told me to contact you guys to help me with getting a car. I am back at $636 and I am a widow in Virginia...my husband passed away six months ago. I only have this part-time job which is helping me pay the other bills that I'm struggling with electric and they are in the 500s. But now my car broke down and I need a new one that I can’t afford.

Good for you for working and trying for better for you and your kids. But you mention you can't afford a monthly payment on a car - can you afford even a reduced payment? As some of the Virginia agencies, such as Vehicles for Change, offer free or low cost cars but they want a minimal payment. But also look here for other free car programs in VA for the low-income.

Hello. My name is Dezzaray. I am a single mother living in Roanoke VA. I have a job but I’m struggling to keep the job due to my lack of transportation. Unfortunately I don’t make enough to save to buy a car or to make monthly payments on a car. Not even enough for a down payment. Me and my son have been through a lot. And we are facing homelessness if I can’t acquire a vehicle.
Public transportation isn’t available to my job and I’ve been spending all my money using Uber too and from work but soon I won’t be able to afford to do that. I was giving this email to reach out to and see if I could get a free car or information about getting help in Virginia or advice on finding programs that help with obtaining a free car. I am a hard working mother and I just want to improve the quality of me and my son’s life by securing my current job. Anything or information will help me greatly. Thank you for your time.
