If facing abuse, always make sure you are safe first. Report it, etc. Then when it comes to a divorce, there are volunteers and pro-bono firms that can help. Locate a free divorce lawyer for the low-income.
They often try to help people / women who are in an abusive situation get out of it.

Hi,
My name is Angela and I'm trying to plan an escape as I am facing abuse. I want to get out careful and without conflict. I have a job, but I need help getting another place and getting on my feet and knowing how to get this divorce without the other person completely taking everything from me.
I just want out and have no money to pay for a divorce.
I have been looking for months and I found some places to live that take women facing domestic abuse. I can’t afford a divorce on my own list need help with that.
