Re: New Orleans family needs help with funeral/burial expenses

Post by LtDan »

Hi, my name is Courtney and I'm calling in regards to try and get help to bury my mother Castro. She lived in New Orleans. Her funeral expenses come to 1100 and she did not have any life insurance. She was a loving mother of three children, two of them who are currently incarcerated so just leave me to deal with all the bills. I'm not asking for anyone to pay for all of it.
I'm just asking for some kind of help or resource to help me pay for her funeral and cremation. If you can please contact me by phone. I live in New Orleans LA, and thank you and have a good day.

Call some local agencies in your area. While in general there are not very many, if any, financial assistance programs to pay for funerals or burial expenses, you can still call around. Find a listing of charities, non-profits, and government programs in New Orleans to call here.

Call around and see what you can find out.

New Orleans family needs help with funeral/burial expenses

A friend in NO needs help with these expenses. Her 17 year old son died suddenly, perhaps from viral meningitis. The family has never really recovered from Katrina. Mother is solely responsible for her other sons and a grandson, lives in government low cost housing. Please let me know if there is any assistance available in New Orleans. Thank you.
