I applied for rental and utility assistance that people with a low income were offered back in early 2024, I was approved and I stated that the address on the application was incorrect. I put the right address on there yet it kept getting changed. Apparently I received the rental assistance as it says in the system but I have never received the money for it or my utility bills it nor did my landlord or utility company. I tried explaining that on the phone and the lady told me I need to “take it up with my landlord” but it was Huntsville rental assistance that messed up the application!

I own my home in Huntsville AL and currently I need to get my Property taxes caught up. I also need food for low income people like me.
Hi Alicia,
Property tax help is rare. Maybe talk to the county assessor / tax office for a payment plan. As far as your other needs, like food and what not, there are many places to try for help in Madison County, and find them here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... prog4.html

do have a medical Hardship that is a life long condition. With this being said I was employed with Amazon and due to the center cutting back hours and my medical heart condition I am currently collecting unemployment and am on a very low income. If I’m able to get a grant to catch up on my taxes. Also food and other resources for sick people like me. Recently my father and younger brother have both moved in with me to see if they are able to help me financially so if need be I could also use both of their income to help me get caught up. Thanks in advance for your time.
