Hi Thomas and Jesse
Obviously the health insurance markets, plans government benefit like Medicaid and others are super complicated. Both understanding policies, contest bills, getting information on why unenrolled and what else may come up. We think the best option is to talk to a medical billing advocate. Many non-profits help patients navigate Medicaid and insurance policies and they help with enrollment (or unenrollment in your cases). Find details on medical bill advocates. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... lp_sa.html

To whom this may concern
My name is Thomas & am trying to see if I could get any help possible to pay off a medical bill that’s been collection for a few years. Before I had the surgery I was unenrolled from Medicaid for some reason. With interest the bill it’s almost $20,000. Any help would very much appreciate. I tried to contest with Medicaid in my state too as well as my insurance company with no luck. I had 9 collection bills & I been paying them off little by little & now I got 2. One that I’m working on is $1,500 & other is almost $20,000.

My health insurer unenrolled me from Medicaid

Post by DominicTweed »

Hello, my name is Jesse , I recently just found out that I was unenrolled in my Meridian health plan through Medicaid. I was put on straight Medicaid that is $605 a month deductible. I am a24-year kidney transplant Survivor. And I am on extremely expensive IV treatment for stage 4 gout because of my anti-rejection drug that causes gout. And I am on disability and can't afford the $605 a month deductible for Medicaid. I have Medicare part A and B and D. But they only cover so much, the IV is roughly $37,000 every time I go! And I go every 2 weeks till September and it is working. I won't be able to get the rest of my treatments once my health insurer unenrolled me from Medicaid, so I can get off disability. Please if you have any kind of help that would be greatly appreciated. This IV is life changing for me. Thankyou very much for your time.
