Need housing in Scituate

I don’t know if you can help us, but our home is being auctioned off and we’ve nowhere to go in Scituate or the area.

As you know probably more than anyone, Scituate is very costly. If you insist on residing there, and have a limited income, try this for information on housing and rent assistance programs. I don’t know if you can help us, but our home is being auctioned off and we’ve nowhere to go in Scituate or the area. All the rentals around here are way too high and we need cheap housing for us. My husband & I are elderly, & we are the sole caretakers for our adult grandson Mike, who’s autistic & disabled.
I was disabled in an accident at work losing 2 jobs (EMT & school bus driver). Then my husband was laid off, then told he was not needed anymore due to his old age. (Master welder & mechanic). I don’t know what to do or where to turn for affordable housing but I do know we need to remain in this area due to Mike’s new part time job & his social services. We are in Scituate Massachusetts. Our hope & dream is to stay in our home, we’ve been here since 1973.
