To Whom it May Concern,
I over 50 and a disabled female that has been homeless. I have been living in my car for 6 months. I currently have an advocate at Laurel Hill and attending Rent Ready Class. I recently found a room for rent. The only obstacle is the monies to move in. My advocate told me to try St Vincent De Paul and Catholic Services.
However, I have tried daily the number I was given by Cathie Services and followed prompts from recording with no luck speaking with someone. I believe my time is running out with them holding the room that I will be able to afford with my limited income. There are many homeless people as you know and finding a place that is affordable is the greatest challenge. I am on the waiting list also with Homes for Good.
I really cannot emphasize the mental toll living in my car has taken on me and I will continue to be homeless with help. I have worked in Lane County Majority of my life starting at age 14. I have never been homeless prior to now and have been a business owner in Oregon and a homeowner in Lane County. With the unfortunate back injury and living on limited income along with all the effects of a divorce after 25 years of abuse has had impact on living situation also.
I have been living with hope primarily this past year, until going to the hourglass crisis center. Being suicidal and going there a couple times a week until I had an intake appointment were referred at Laurel Hill, I slowly have been gaining some hope for a productive and happy future. However, to obtain the goals I would like to start establishing I need to find a safe place to rest my mind, body, and soul. So, at this time I please ask that someone reply with some helpful guidance to find financial help for rent and deposits before I miss a window of opportunity. I prefer by phone however email will be fine too! Amount needed is $400 prorated and $400 deposit $200 deposit for assistance animal however, the deposits can be spread out over two months if need be. Please, if could respond with urgency I would appreciate it.

Hi Natosha and others
In addition to the free motel vouchers for homeless people mentioned above, there are also housing programs focused on helping disabled people. HUD programs such as section 811 (which is similar to HCV), Area on Aging centers and other groups help disabled people find, and pay for, a place to live as indicated on the link. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... sable.html

Re: I am disabled and homeless
My family and I are homeless. I have 2 young daughters and my disabled husband had no been able to get a job as no GED available. We have been homeless for the whole time we have been here (round 4 years) and we have no where else to go as the disability is not enough to get us out of being homeless. We live in Lakewood Colorado and only want to go back to Arkansas. But we need help with rent payments right now as we are 2 weeks behind and we will end up on the streets soon.
Friends have been helping with rent but can't help anymore and they are moving. Any rent help and perhaps help with getting a vehicle so we can get around and go home to Dr. ASAP would be appreciated.
Blessings.
Natosha.

If you are disabled and homeless, and also a veteran, you should be able to apply for a free motel voucher. They can help you get a place for a few nights while you wait on a homeless shelter and pursue other options. Learn more here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... chers.html

I am disabled and homeless
Hi, My name is Daniel, I am currently homeless with monthly income and having issues with my disability trying to find a home. I am currently homeless living on the streets with limited income and I am having a difficult time trying to get my life together and was hoping for a little help. I am 26 years old, White male with limited income verifiable from SSA. I am currently residing in the vicinity of 90028.
If there a way to get any assistance for housing that caters to the disabled, I would greatly be appreciative since I am also a victim of Identity theft and have a hard time trying to get back on my feet with those kinds of people harassing me. If you could find it in your heart to help this underserving soul I would greatly be thankful.
Best,
