Do you have a job, or source of income (other than disability) ready to go in Salem? If so that fact may help you get rental assistance for your move. If not it may be hard for you - as what is your plan to afford the higher cost of living there? Regardless look here for Salem area rental assistance.

I am disabled and get both SSI and SSD there are 5 of us. My fiancé, her 3 girls ages 9 11 and 13. We have no pets and are in desperate need of help finding housing and rent money. Where we are is temporary and we don’t need the girls to be homeless nor any of us. If you can direct us to what we need to do to get rent and housing in Salem.
