Who can help me pay AEP bill in Texas?

If you are struggling with utility - energy bills.
NHPB has more info on energy assistance, and find local utility bill assistance programs.

Hi,
Since you’re facing a shutoff, please contact AEP right away and ask about their payment assistance programs or other options they offer. You can also reach out to your local Community Action Agency in Texas (not sure where you are), which often administers LIHEAP crisis funds and emergency utility aid. You’ll find programs for Texas customers listed at https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... grams.html
. That page includes links to AEP customer assistance, government grants, and charities that help prevent power disconnections.

If you still have trouble, apply for immediate help through local agencies or churches, and search for you local county at https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html/search.html. Many can make direct payments to utility companies in emergencies.

We are a multifamily and looking for assistance with AEP Electric Bill. We have little money on hand but not enough to avoid disrupted service that is scheduled for TERMINATION AFTER JANUARY 22, 2021.
We have tried to get as much money together as possible but everything, as you are already aware, has strapped us.
I go to school online and the folks that reside with me are disabled. We have applied for LIHEAP in Texas through DHHR and have not heard anything.
I have tried calling AEP to work out the bill but to my avail nothing has panned out.
Please, if there's anything you can do to help!
After today we will lose our only source of heat. And I also will lose access to complete my online schooling.

Hi Dora
We have a list of payment plans, assistance programs, and benefits for AEP in Texas. There are multiple programs to help people - even more so during the summer. Locate AEP Texas assistance programs.

Who can help me pay AEP bill in Texas?

Post by Yuto »

My name is Dora. I have had an outstanding bill with AEP for sometime now. I am still without electricity and the Texas heat is starting. I have not been able to get assistance to pay that bill. I am surviving on a small disability check and the little bit I get through the SNAP program. I am sixty one years old, and suffer from degenerative disc disease which is very painful and have been diagnosed with congenital heart disease. I know there was a problem with the meter. As I had explained I had someone checking on my house and dogs while I went to visit with my sister, because I had no electricity. That person had messed with my meter.
I would like to know if I can get assistance to pay that bill and resume electric service at my house.
My address is Rocksprings, Tx 78880.
A company told me AEP has it listed as a business. That is incorrect. It is a residence. Hope you can inform me as to what to do to restore service. I can't afford a big payment or deposit.
Hope you can help.
