Hello. My moms husband passed away in February of this year. She is struggling with literally everything and she badly needs yard work done, including to rake her leaves. She doesn't have the mental or physical capacity to take care of her home and property in general. I'm the only child and I have physical issues as well.
She lives alone and is having a hard time finding anyone to help mow her grass and do yard work around her house. We do not know of anyone who will help for free or volunteer. She has asked neighbors if they would mow her yard and even offered to pay for it. And they just blow her off or lie and say they will do it and never come back. I have any called lawn care services and can't get a response back. She can not financially pay every week for lawn care, but at this point she just needs someone dependable to help with her yard work. I have severe back and hip issues and can't mow myself. Please help with any info you may have. Thank you in advance.

Do charities help the disabled with yard work?
I have an interesting question my wife is disabled and the house we live in has little to no shade. We are in desperate need of trees to be planted that can provide shade so that comes the summer she will be able to go outside. Ideally we would like a church or charity to do this. We also want other yard work done like cut some bushes and mow the lawn. If we do not get the tries, the sun make her symptoms worse. Are they any charities or even government programs that can help subsidize this?
