Hi. I've applied for help with the Community Action. My slumlord wants $3200 in rent, which I only asked for one months help. My rent was $1,200. Anyhow, I've asked for school supply help, bills, and clothes for my kids for this upcoming school year. I've spoken to the lady who is over the assistance program and she assured me that help was coming, that they didn't know how to distribute the money. But help was on the way.
I've applied since June 2024 for school supplies to give my kids when school starts in August . I was approved for a lot of things, but I'm still waiting on the help that I was approved for. Is there anyway you could help me figure what's going on? My kids need school clothes, supplies etc.

Free school supplies start to be given out soon (if not now). Of course it depends on where someone lives, their county, school system, etc. We have a list of places to get free school supplies in 2024, clothes and whatever yours need. Of course the programs depend on donations and they do their best to help students for the school year, but there are no guarantees. Hello my name is Olivia and I'm writing you today because I'm desperately in need of help this school supply season! I'm a single mother of 2 kids - 9 year old girl and a 14 yar old boy who have learning disabilities and I am also diagnosed with diabetes that has effected my heart and health! I stay in Flint Michigan Michigan and since this year I've fallen on hard times having to spend money that I was trying to save for my babies just to keep them safe and make sure they have all their needs. I've got behind on my bills and my children won't be able to have a good first day of school this year.
! I don't even have the money to get them new clothes for school or even pens or pens. And I have no emotional support from family, my mother and father passed away when I was 16 and I've been trying to do things alone but this year got me and I don't know what to do or who to turn to, I'm saddened to see there faces today asking if we are having a school supply shopping event but I don't have the support I need to make it happen for them. I was just told today that some agencies were given out free school backpacks! I'm asking for any information on what I need to do to get help before first day of school is here. Please, I don't even know who I'm writing I'm just hoping for a miracle - not for me but for my babies.

Hello, my name is Pamela and I recently had my 4th child and 14 days after having her I was rushed into surgery for a life and death situation. Well with the love and support from the hospital staff and the motivation of wanting more time and love with my children I was able to survive with my left leg being amputated. And now with this injury I’m not sure if my children will even have a school season and the stuff they need like clothes and supplies. So, from the bottom of my heart I’m asking for help on how to apply for assistance to bring the end of this horrific year and blessing for them and to see my babies have a true smile to wear on first day of school or any day for that matter.
