Ratio of blind luck vs. luck you make on your own

It is definitely birth luck. Do people in 3rd world countries really have a chance to make their luck? What about 9/11 and innocent deaths? What about accidents and random sickness that can affect a person from earning a living? These are things that people have no control over. And, there are thousands other factors that can prevent a person from making their “own luck”.

Some people have no skills, mental disabilities that may affect their ability to learn, because they were both that way. Can they really make their own luck? I don’t think so.

Our lives were already designed and planned out before we enter this world. It is all destiny and blind luck.

Definitely surprised by results so far. Would have thought it would be more balanced. But most people saying luck is made.

We have also received a couple more comments. The summaries are and we paraphrased them below.

-One had to do with luck is blind as if born into money, you are way ahead of game.
-Another comment was luck is made. They said maybe years ago it was more blind luck, but with all opportunities today people can get a good job in a heartbeat, live wherever they want, etc.
-One person indicated so many people feel they are "entitled" and blame their problems on others, their situation, etc.. They blame others instead of making things happen...making their luck happen.

Someone wrote in referencing this blog post and they made the comment of course luck is made as they said see how many immigrants came from nothing, discriminated against, etc. and started successful businesses. That is 100% made luck.

What do readers think in more important, blind luck to luck you make on your own is? i wish we could get percentages but the poll doesn't allow it. But you can still write in or post below and say for example life is 75% man made and 25% blind...or whatever you think. Thanks!
