Re: Short term financial assistance only
Hello. I had everything figured out. Get a job, save a little, move into a place with my lady, then get a car. Things were heading in that direction. It felt really good making a transition from homeless, sleeping under bridges, steps, and tents to having a room and a place to shower. Thanks to some really good people that didn't have to take us in. Got into town and had a good paying job 5 minutes away, in less than 2 weeks. Now it all fell about and I need some money now for a few weeks or some form of financial help. My story is here.
Only 3 days on the job and the house we were staying in burns down. Was able to get all 5 people ( including a 3 day old baby) and 2 of the 4 animals out (RIP LALA AND WILLY). Fire truck, ambulance, and red Cross came and was able to help that family out with temporary housing and other necessities. We were grateful for that but the most they were able to do for us was keep us out of the cold for a couple hours, which we were still grateful for. Especially, due to the temperature being 15° with snow on the ground. We were able to work out some resources through one of the red Cross workers. This was after he realized that we had no family, friends, or any other options.
He reached out to a dude who works closely with the city. Won't put his name out there but he's a great dude and helped out a great deal. He took us somewhere to get food and clothes before putting us in a motel for almost a week. For the following weeks, I was able to partly for the room. Wasn't able to save much. The room money was most of my check. Still pushed through.
The job was going well until this past Wednesday when I got laid off. Supposedly, their cutting back on employees. I'm back on the job search and I only have 4 days left until we have to be out. This paycheck won't even be enough to cover another week. If it was up to me I'd be in an apartment now! Also, just found out that my mom's cancer came back in her liver now. As serious as it is, I can't even see her. Not giving up, but everything seems to be falling apart, all around me. I hate having to resort to this but I'm not left with many choices. I'm on here seeking help for a short period of time, maybe a week or two. Whether it be cash, jobs, gigs, or anything to help me through this rough patch. If there is anything you can help with, please message me. -Ej

Re: Short term financial assistance only
While we rarely recommend this, if you have the cash coming in and truly need short term help, then try a payday loan. Now they can be dangerous, so you need to be able to pay it off the next week. If you are not 110% sure of that, then try another solution.
