Who is your utility/gas/electric company in Florida? What county? I assume it is either Florida Power & Light Company or Progress Energy. If so, you have a few options. Try the federal government LIHEAP program. Call your local community action agency and ask about apply.
If Progress Energy, call them and ask about the Energy Neighbor Fund assistance program. If FP&L is your utility company, call and ask about the Care to Share Program. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
MY NAME IS MYKA I AM SEEKING ASSISTANCE WITH MY FLORIDA UTILITY BILLS SINCE I HAVE RECENTLY LOST MY JOB. I AM CURRENTLY 6 MONTHS PREGNANT AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE HOUSE WORKING SINCE MY HUSBAND HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO WORK. MY HOUSEHOLD CONSISTS OF MYSELF, MY HUSBAND, AND MY 9 YEAR OLD SON. I HAVE NEVER ASKED FOR THIS TYPE OF ASSISTANCE BEFORE AND HOPE THAT SOMEONE CAN HELP ME. I AM ON MEDICAID AND I CURRENTLY RECIEVE FOODSTAMPS.
