Georgia rent and deposit help needed

Post by Cadillac »

We recently came to GA from AL to roommate with family. My husband and I paid the first month rent and worked out cleaning for the deposit. All of us stayed in a motel until we could get everything else together. The other people left us to steal what little money we had left, took all the food we had here, and we have to be out of the motel Saturday 11am. We need help to get the power on they want a deposit for that and to move to an apartment. We have no car so we are stuck and it a really bad situation.

Re: Georgia security deposit is needed in Atlanta

I've been looking into government resources and grants for help with a security deposit in the city of Atlanta. The apartments I am currently renting offered to take care of all my back rent and lease termination fees if I move out. I am a single mom with two 7 year old girls. I did find a place and I do not have good credit so it was almost a miracle I found this place downtown Atlanta and it will be a perfect fit for my daughters. I need $2800 for the security deposit and first month's prorated rent is $660. I have already put down the $300 towards the deposit and I have exhausted all other resources and cannot seem to come up with this. If there is anyway you could assist or programs in Fulton County or Georgia that could exist that would be amazing. I have until this Friday, the 19th to come up with the deposit or loose this place and risk the possibility of eviction. Please reach out to me ASAP!

I live in Martin Georgia. I found a house I can rent for 700 dollars a month but I need help paying for it and my electricity. I am low income. I am on SSI and I receive 733.00 dollars a month. I Receive food stamps to pay for my groceries.
The move in date is October the first and I am begging for you to help me. I have two children and my husband and I have been living in a camper in my mom's front yard while we wait on his paycheck from his new job. We had to come in the house so she could help me because I have broken screws and rods in my right foot and have to have surgery again.
The kids and I deserve our own home. There is not enough room for us here. Will you and can you please help us? The house is across from my mom so she will still be able to help me and I love it. My husband left us so it's just myself and my two children.

Just moved to GA from FL and need help with temporary housing. I have a little bit of cash and need to find somewhere for like 150 a week. The rent on the motels here in Georgia are too expensive; they are 92.00 for two days.
I have a job interview tomorrow at 2:30 and need assistance for around 2 months to get on our feet until I get a paycheck. I am a 42 year old female. My fiancé is 52. We have no children. We do not do drugs and have an excellent work background. We are just having a hard time finding something immediately here. Please if you can help us. We have not changed our driver’s license over yet. Hoping you can help. Thank you so much.

Me and my fiancé and my step daughter going thru struggle. I'm between jobs at the moment. Started working at call center in Atlanta Georgia which is 16.00 hour but job don't start for a week. We have a apartment we found for $1500 month if we can get help with the deposit and first month rent. I as a father and husband can provide a stable home if we had help to get on our feet.

Re: Help with Hotel Rent in georgia!

To clarify, are you in a hotel, or regular apartment community? As hotel programs are rare in DeKalb County and everywhere for that matter. But if it is just rent help needed for that Bear Hill Apartment complex, then you may have more options. There are various rental asisstance programs in DeKalb County that you can apply to. $500 is not a huge amount, but it will often involve more than agency assisting you.

I owe a total of 500.00 dollars including late fees to the Bear Hill Apartment Community in Atlanta, GA, Dekalb County area. This apartment community is in Atlanta Georgia. I will be able to pay all of my bills by the end of July; however, I am one month in the whole, and have no resources to assist me in getting this paid. If there is anything that you can do for my assistance please contact me.

I need help with paying for my hotel room until I get a job, please. I just moved down south to Atlanta Georgia with my family. We got into an altercation and they basically left me so now I'm on my own. Well, actually to be honest it’s me and my boyfriend. We both was staying with my sister and me and my boyfriend had it out so he left and then my sister came and got her kids from the hotel we were staying at and left me there. A lady that was working there seen that I was just sitting in the lobby crying with all of my things.
I don't have a car, I don't have no money, and I just have my clothes and my boyfriend. But the lady paid for a room for us for one night. He got his sister to pay for today and tomorrow we don't know what we're going to do. We're not from out here in Atlanta and barley know our way around Georgia. I applied for a few jobs in the area so it’s not like I'm not trying you know. I just need help with paying for our room until at least one of us can get a job. We're trying the best we can and we're determined and striving. I'd greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for reading and God bless you.

If you were fired, we doubt any program will help with your security deposit. As how would you afford rent the next month if you do not have a job? Anyway, there are homeless shelters in Georgia. Maybe use them first while you look for a job/save money, etc. Only then may an agency offer you deposit assistance. There are also many terms and conditions in palce, which you can read about here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... on_se.html

New to Georgia and waiting on paycheck so I can pay rent

Post by RandyT »

I have no where else to turn to. I am facing eviction within the next few weeks and I'm in need of help with my rent payment. All I need is a one time help with this months rent and I'll avoid eviction. My work pay does not start until August, when it does I'll be able to maintain.
I am new to Georgia and do not have anywhere to go. I'm 22 years old and I'm trying to establish myself but I just need help through this hard time. If you can please help me, I'll avoid being homeless and having an eviction on my record that may prevent me from finding housing in the future. Please consider my situation and help me to find rental assistance for this month.

I am legally separating from my husband. I need to stay in town in Clayton Georgia, to keep my two boys in school. I will be moving out in the next couple of months. I am disabled and receive $847 a month. I can't afford the security deposit or rent. I am looking for help now so that by the time I am ready to move I will have the help already in place. I am so confused about where to turn. If nothing else I would like phone numbers or websites that services are easily explained. Thank you!

We do have many charities and non-profits to call for security deposit advice and assistance in Gwinnett County Georgia. Do you have a job? if so, that may help you as you apply for different rent and housing programs. You can also look into transitional housing or shelters in the county as well. Click Gwinnett rent programs.

My mother has kicked me and my kids to the streets. I have got some help from friends and stuff, but its coming to a end real soon. I am in need of help getting in a rental a home, but have no money for deposit, and first months rent, maybe a little longer. My kids need a stable home, where I can get them back in school, get a job, and stuff like that. I would love to stay in Gwinnett County Georgia, but I just need a little to get back on my feet again, and have no clue as to where to turn to for help.
I have never had to do anything like this, and it killing to do it now. But my kids are very important to me, need in a stable home. We will be in the streets again real soon if I can't get some kid of home for us. Please if there is any way possible for me to get some help, I am asking you to send me info on what I have to do. Or feel free to call me. Have a nice and blessed day.

Georgia security deposit is needed

Post by tania1 »

Hello, I was wondering how do I go about getting help to pay my first months rent and security deposit for my new place in Georgia. My landlord gave me a week to vacate the premises and I have a 4-year old son that goes to school. I would rather not be homeless with him but, I'm just now finding out about this assistance. I live in Atlanta, GA and since he's in school I don't want to have to switch him. Any information helps, I feel like I'm all out of options. I am looking for all options that may be available to me. Maybe different agencies or charities to call in the city or county. PLEASE HELP ME! Thanks in advance.

You do not leave yourself much time. Always ask for help earlier.
here is some information on Georgia assistance programs. Midway down the page are counties, and select your Georgia county of Coweta. Looks like the local community action agency may be your best choice. Also use the main site, and especially the navigation bars on left menu, for other housing and rent assistance programs and solutions.
