Many agencies do focus on the disabled, which is good. You may be first in line for emergency rent help, or low income housing units. Unfortunately you did not provide your state, so our reply is very generic. Use this for government assistance programs. States are down the page, and select yours. $11,000 in back rent is kind of high, so doubt you can get help. But can call around.

Disabled may usually get priority with receiving cash and rent help. Find the Prince George County financial assistance programs as well as who to call for help, and where to apply. There are a number of agencies and places to call for help.

Great that family took you in to help. Anyway to save some money while you stay there. That is important to start off on own with savings. In addition, yes, look into government help or charity programs. Find how to get rent help, and this page provides overview and links to local programs. If you provide your state/county we can be more specific on what we reply with, but for now use the main resource/link.

We felt it was best to be with family to help out with his needs. However, that its working out, so i would prefer for me and my children to be in our own home so that we can live as one family.

We do not know what laws there are, but there is a free legal aid program in Arkansas for income qualified individuals. Lawyers will provide advice, representation, and services (at no cost) to income qualified people. Read about free legal aid in Arkansas and get phone numbers and more information.
Some other programs and agencies to call operate in the region as well. They may be able to provide information on housing, maybe financial aid, advice, etc. Find a listing of Ashley County assistance programs and agencies to call.

It is due on the 7th of January 2012. My landlord let me move into his house (he did NOT have me sign a contract) and told me he wants to sell the house but will allow me to live here as long as I need to. Are there any laws that will protect me and my son from being evicted? I have lived here almost 3 years and have always paid my rent. I am devastated and don't know what help is available for us in Ashley County, Arkansas and on the Government level and I need help finding out what resources are out there to help us stay in our rent home and pay the utilities. It is my understanding that alot of these programs have long waiting lists. Although, I have been told that funds are available at the beginning of each new year and it is first come first served. Is this true?

Can you help direct me to ALL of the resources whether by State or Government?

Thank you in advance for your time. Merry Christmas

We always say the first thing people need to do is get food. Then they can worry about rent, energy bills, housing, and medical bills. Find a listing of food pantries by state, and call around and apply for help.

We will not donate a car. We do not donate items, sell services, or do anything like that. We only provide information. And here is a listing of charities and organizations to call for help, some of which may offer free cars or low interest loans to buy a car. Find resources for cars here.

Is Judsonia in Arkansas, White County? If so, here are some agencies to call for help finding an apartment, rent assistance, or other housing aid in White County Arkansas. Probably the number one place to call for help is Community Action Program for Central Arkansas, Inc. (501) 329-9247. They run a few housing programs for the low income.

Need help finding help with paying part of the rent for the apartment I share with my disabled (vision impaired) brother-in-law, who should be on some kind of rental assistance program, but isn't. My sister left him, and without their combined income, he is unable to make the monthly rent and I am un-employed at this time, but urgently looking for work in order to help.

Have you applied for the HUD section 8 housing program? Vouchers will limit the amount of your income you need to pay towards rent, and get you into an affordable home. Find section 8 housing assistance programs and vouchers by state, including in Texas.

Where exactly is Chickasaw Nation located. Is that in Oklahoma? There are some government programs that can help pay rent, security deposits, and try to get people out of homeless shelters. the main programs is the Rapid rehousing program, which is from government stimulus funds. Find other Oklahoma assistance programs too, all of which may address housing needs.

I am running out of time to stay here at the shelter. The people here at the shelter will help me get my utilities turned on by paying the deposits. Here is where I am needing help. After I get into a place I am going to need somebody to pay my electric til my disability kicks in. I have been racking my brain to try and figure out how I am going to make it. I do not have any family here. I don't know anyone here. The little bit of family I do have does not have the means to help with my bills, they are barely getting by themselves. Could you please help me?

Go to the main site and navigate around, looking for programs. While many agencies do have waiting lists, and can sadly run out of funds, there are so many places to call for help, government programs, and even things you can do yourself. One consolidated list of many ways to get help with bills, rent, debts, etc can be found here.
