Hello my name is Cheryl. I reside at Houston Texas 77090. I was seeking desperate help for my rent and hoping Medicaid can help me. I have an unpaid rent balance in the amount of almost $8,000. I've been trying my hardest to find priority help in any way possible. I recently been dealing with death and medical issues and maybe I can use Medicaid benefit to pay the rent or help me find funds? I'm just seeking help I have an eviction that I am facing at the moment. I just need help please and thank you

Hi Shawna
The short answer is no, there is not priority for people on Medicaid. Each charity, local government office, etc. has their own application criteria and process. Any money for rent is limited and comes with various criteria. But there are many places to try for rental assistance and find them here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... _rent.html

My name is Shawnna. I am 61 and disable. On Medicaid only from the government and get no other benefits. An emergency came up that put me behind on my bills and rent. And I had to use my rent money. I don't get very much as it is. I need help in paying my rent for the next few months while I get back on track. the rent is $875 a month is there any place that I can get help? I couldn't find a cheaper place to live. I grab this one to get me from being homeless. Do you know anyone that's offer grants or housing for Medicaid people? I sure need one. And need help.
