Hi Nicole,
Since you have multiple needs (not just food), try our general list of assistance programs in Richmond Virginia. As there are charities and other places that not only help with the bills (like you said you need) but also give out free groceries and other goods - all listed on the site.

Hello, my name is Nicole and I’m really in need of help. I live Richmond Virginia. My husband was laid off for almost two months and things fell very far behind. We are coming up on facing eviction if we cannot come up with what we are short on, our electric bill is very far behind, not to mention every other bill we have and we have no food
I’m really hoping you can help us please get food for the kids and pay the bills. In case you need the info to help we have 3 in our family, one child age 8, he is home schooled, so internet is another of our bills that I’m scared about. We get food stamps and Medicaid but the food stamps don’t cover groceries. My email if there is anything you can do please let me know.

Hi,
There are several pantries and soup kitchens in the downtown area. Some are client choice, so you just pick out the food you need/want. Of course supplies are limited in Richmond like everything, but look here for details on free food programs in Richmond VA. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... tries.html

Hello, I am writing desperately for some help with food in Richmond Virginia.
Hello, I am writing desperately for some help with food in Richmond Virginia. We have been without food for over a week now and have a 7 year old son who's in first grade. My husband had an accident that a needs surgery July 15. He's been out of work since then with 6 weeks at least left to go...we have no income coming in right now to pay the bills or buy food. I've applied for food stamps and TANF. But no response in Weeks AFTER my phone interview as completed.
We're desperate and hot I finally got an appointment with a pantry for today but I guess I missed the call or something because I didn't hear anything from anyone and I've tried to reach out to them numerous times only to be disconnected after holding for a rep. Help!?!? Please?!?! We need food.
Below is the info I filled out app with if that helps. Thanks in Advance for your help.
Sincerely,
