Hello, I am an unemployed displaced homemaker that is a domestic abuse survivor and divorced and was looking for employment right when the local paper mill closed hit us. I am now forced to stay at home with my children because they are hybrid and virtual learning. I am on unemployment of $158 a week and get $112 a month in food stamps but it doesn’t stretch far.
I have my rent of $950 coming up on the first and am behind on all of my other bills, my water bill alone was $216 just for this month. I had no income as a homemaker or savings and my ex is a deadbeat. I’ve completely depleted my savings and have no family or friends. It’s just me and my 2 sons.
I am desperate and do not know where to turn. It seems that the virus is not letting up and at this rate me and my boys will be homeless and lose all of our family possessions, generations of possessions. I am desperate to not lose our home we have lived in for 6 1/2 years. They have all ready been through enough emotionally toxic scenarios with the abuse I suffered from my ex narcissistic sociopath husband when I was a homemaker. I cannot imagine them going through any more pain and suffering. Please help or guide us to some assistance.

I am only a homemaker
My name is Lacey. I am a young widow and my husband Kevin passed away April 2022 and he had died in an accident at his place of work. I was just a homemaker who is now struggling with bills and need for a job. Kevin was working for GM and my husband was working on a machine when the machine malfunctioned my husband was crushed and died instantly.
Kevin and I were Married in 2008 and we had 3 little girls. I am very heartbroken that they will never see their father again and Kevin was just 54 so very young. I’m reaching out because I’m in such financial distress because Kevin was my sole provider and I was just a homemaker. Since his death I have been without a vehicle, insurance, my checking account has become in the negative and I owe 298.00 cell phone past due bill to contact Verizon wireless. I also am unable to pay for medical insurance, open enrollment for my mental health depression, anxiety medication and grievance counseling as I have no money or income as a homemaker. Please help me with anything and any resources that you know for a fact that would help my family without losing everything Kevin worked for. Thank you and God bless.
