Hi,
A $329 increase seems excessive. Thank you for your service. But look here for other section 8 housing assistance in MI.

In addition to that, there is also a Michigan veteran coalition that provides resources. Maybe they can help you, and find their details here. https://www.michigan.gov/mvaa/quality-o ... -coalition

Help paying rent. I am on Section 8 Housing Assistance and Michigan just lowered the amount they will help with. My portion was $260 per month and now I must pay $589 per month. I cannot afford the $329 increase. I am a 59 year old Vietnam Era Veteran, a single father, in the process of applying for disability due to my health and only work part-time. I only take home $447 per pay check (twice a month) and now with the rental increase I cannot pay my bills and I can barely provide (sometimes not) for my son. I lost my car due to the inability to pay for it. If I cannot get some sort of assistance, we face eviction which will result in being homeless. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you,
