If you have already called around, the only other option is crisis LIHEAP. More info is here. Or try other charities as we have many other lisred on the site.

Also use the main site to find more programs. We have a search box on the main site that maybe you can try. But it is impossible to get financial help in one day. It takes time to apply, places to review application, etc. That is even if they have funds.

Hi, my names Amanda I'm new to this so if I mess up and this post isn't allowed I'm sorry. In April life basically happened. My income dropped to nothing. I've been unable to pay my electric bill. The payment agreement PPL put me on was for $156 a month which I haven't been able to make because of trying to make rent and live with what little I had saved.
I have 2 children ages 7 and 2. My daughters due to start school tomorrow and all I can think of is the inevitable I'm facing today. I just rebuilt my life after years of going thru some tough stuff. If theres anyone who can help me or point me in a new direction for help my kids and I would truly appreciate it.
I've spoken with CEO, salvation army, friends of the poor, and church leaders to be told the same thing that theres no funding at this time. I understand I'm not the only one going through this and thats killing me the most to know there's another mother just like me trying to figure out what to tell her kids when they come to shut it off. So I know this is a shot in the dark but I'm praying my prayers are heard. I need $624 to stop the shut off today it can be paid directly to PPL. Don't hesitate to contact me but please nothing harsh because this is tough enough.
