What state is SATILLA REMC provide you service in? What county are you located in? Without knowing that hard for me to be specific. What I can do is provide info for some of the major counties across the nation. Try this for local non-profits and community action agencies.

Many of these agencies offer utility and energy assistance programs. You can also find about about food pantries and distribution centers, and maybe even how to get help with that car of yours.

So glad I found this forum. I am hoping someone can help us. We are in dire need of assistance with paying our electric bill & food. Out bill is due by 11-15 or will be turned off.
This company, SATILLA REMC, does not take doctors notes, and only makes payment arrangements once per year per customer. they have no compassion for anyone or their
situation (s). I believe the bill is $213.00 or in that general area. My husband is the only one working, and he is working if he's lucky, 16 hours a week. I tried to get assitance-food stamps
and was told we have too much income, HA! Ya right. We cant pay both the electric bill and get food, its impossible. Not to mention, there is something wrong with our car, its overheating for some reason, and my husband doenst know why. If the car dies, he will definitely be out of a job, because his work is a good 8 miles each way by walking.
