Re: Student needs rent assistance

Post by Admin - Jon McNamara »

Housing and Urban Development runs assistance programs for students. They are federal government affiliated, so they may have resources/referrals for you too. Options may include loans, aid from your school for students, and much more. Find details on HUD programs. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... ment_.html

Re: Need help finding rent assistance.

Post by The Cooper »

I need help for finding rent assistance for moving. I got a 2 week notice to move because my landlord moved rent up and now my HUD can't help, which makes no sense. I have been cooperative and changed my life for the last 7 years. I am grateful for the assistance, I'm working on achieving my goals for school and I can't believe this is happening. I am scared of what is going too happen.
I been living here for almost two years and now this? How does the government think about or support reform or programs if they just sabotage the clients in a few years? I am chronically disabled and I don't let that define me or get in my way. I was able to learn, observe, and apply the skills I have acquired over the years from groups and programs. I appreciate the support in finding rent help and I hope to find some assistance, I'm willing to volunteer anywhere. Thank you and have a nice day.

I am in need of rent assistance for the month on July. My husband and I have both just became unemployed because the business we use to work down has been shut down and closed and we can not make rent this month. He has interviews coming up but still no stable job for either of us.
There are three people living in this apartment myself, my husband, and our two year old daughter. I do not understand exactly what the qualifications are in order to receive assistance. I was told about John F. Long by a friend who had used the services available before.

There are various housing programs in the Coastal region, including Coffee County. They may offer funds for both your rent and lights. While we are not sure if they help for trailer expenses, you can try. Find the financial aid in Coffee County.

Well, Catholic Charities does not owe you or anyone anything. Why would you "plan" on that rent help from them? That is just wrong. As far as DHS, drive there. Then you right you need help NOW...in caps? No one in Minneapolis or anywhere else owes you anything in life. Sorry, but that is the hard truth. Anyway, feel free to try Catholic Charities in Minneapolis again for help.

Hello. I am 24 Years old and I have 3 small children. 5 Year old, 4 year old, and 1 year old. I have been searching for help. I live in Douglas Georgia, COFFEE COUNTY. I am about to be evicted out of my trailer and my lights are going to be cut off before Monday. I have no family to help me. My mother died last July and she had no life insurance or will that we could find so my sister and her three children had to move in with me. I have no idea what to do and just came across your website. If you can please email me back at.

I have a 10 year old grandson who has Autism PDD-NOS. I was given emergency custody of him in November due to abuse. I live on a small disability of $911 per month and I receive $277 per month from Social Services for my grandson. We receive $36 in food stamps as well. I live in a one bedroom, rent controlled building and have to move due to lack of living space. I have been able to find and with help pay the security and the first month rent on a different apartment. However, our new apartment can not be ready until June 7th, as they need to clean, paint, and replace carpet before we can move in. I was not able to pay my current rent for December in the amount of $247.00 as I used it as security on my new place, having been promised that someone would be able to help me pay April rent for my current apartment. Well, they are now no longer going to be able to help me pay the rent and I have May rent coming due in 9 days.
I can pay May rent as usual, I can not however, pay a double rental payment for both April and May and they will not take payments as I am moving in June. I am desperately asking for help for Aprils rent as I have been told that a 3 day eviction notice will be put on my door on or prior to the first. I have no way to obtain the money. There was a small church in Cincinatti Ohio that was going to give me $50.00 but that very same day my car's transmission froze leaving me with no transportation to go anywhere to fill out paper work for help. My rent is $247 and just goes to SMHA. I don't even want the money to come to me I just really need help for this one month. My grandson is on a special diet and I am a diabetic, having just been released from ICU recently and I've had to ask my Church for grocery assistance as most if not all food pantries can only offer those things.

We are sorry for your loss. It seems like you are in Carver County Minnesota, and if so, here are a few options. As far as utilities being disconnected, try crisis LIHEAP. You definitely want the power on before winter rolls around. There may be some charities that offer rent help in the region too, and locate financial help in Carver County.

Me and my boyfriend live in an apartment with his cousin. I got laid off a job through a temp agency and they haven’t found me another job and my boyfriend hasn’t been able to find a job and his cousin cant find a job. Our rent is 300 a month and we pay electric which is running around 100-140 a month. Were having trouble keeping up with everything. I wanted to see if there was any kind of assistance we can get, with the rent that is due first.

Hello, I’m from Michigan city Indiana 46360 and I was wondering what kind of assistance I could receive for housing assistance for Normandy apartments in Michigan city. Its a decent apartment complex.

My husband and I just found out we're expecting our third child and the only income I have is about $350 a month he's working on trying to find a job and has put many applications in hoping for a response. I also have student loans to pay so that takes away from my income which means less money to pay towards an apartment and bills I will have thru the pregnancy. I want to be able to take care of my baby and not be scared I’ll lose my home especially with winter approaching. Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time have a great day.

I am a mother who just recently lost a child. I am going through a rough time right now due to the death of my newborn child. I am not working right now and I need help with my rent and utilities. My electricity has been disconnected for almost a month now and I am behind a month on my rent. My husband is the only one working right now but he is only working part time.

Due to our the company that is our main source of income being bought out we had to go three weeks with no income. We have fallen 2 weeks behind on our rent and now our landlord is demanding the rent owed as well as a months rent in advance or he will be forced to evict us. We have no where else to go. I have 4 children. One of my children is legally deaf and another is Autistic. I have tried personally selling items to raise money but am not having luck and the landlord told us time is running out.

I am soon to become a single mother of two small children (6 and 3) one of whom is a Special Needs Child recently diagnosed with Autism (High Functioning) ADHD/OCD along with pre-existing health issues (G6PD). We have three and a half months in which to find a home. I JUST started my first job and am earning minimum wage. I would like to find a home as soon as is possible for me and my boys before the time deadline to move out.

We do have programs listed for Contra Costa County, which includes Richmond of course. If you husband is working that should help you qualify. Many of the agencies will provide a partial payment for those that qualify, so maybe you can combine the funds from a few different places. Assistance for a deposit may be offered too, and that sometimes comes in the form of a repayable loan too. Click here Contra Costa rent help.

I am being evicted from where I'm staying now. I have a dog and we are about to be homeless. I don't have a car and I don’t have a job. I have looked for work and I was supposed to work with my roommate selling candles that he carves. Well come to find out through a mutual friend he planned to have me to all the building and cleaning and setting up of the new work station then tell me he wasn’t going to need me anymore and for 4 months I wasted time. I never got paid a dime and wasted those months when I could have been looking for a job. I’m in real need of help. Please the sooner the better I have only a few more days where I'm at then I have to leave. I have no where to go except the street. Thank you.

Hi, I am writing to see if there was any way that I could get help paying my rent in Oregon. I am way past due and the job my fiance was working on for two months they didn’t pay him and now it has put us way behind and we already live pay check to pay check. We have to come up with $2000 by the end of this month or we have to move out were two months behind our landlord has been really nice letting us stay this long but now he is pushing the issue and my fiance is working now doing roofs. But he isn’t getting paid that much and we really would love to stay here cause we can get our kids and have them here instead of intruding someone else home. If you could please call me.

I just moved into my apartment and I was able to make my rental payments on time, as it turns out they recently started taking insurance that is mandatory out of my check and I will no longer be able to make my rent, until I find a better employment. I'm a student taking 20 units and I work full-time, I'm just trying to finish school without all the financial stress.

I have received an eviction notice from my land lord. I need help fast before the 31st of September or I will be homeless! I got behind on my rent because I did not have a valid ID to get work. And it took 2 months for me to get my birth records so I could get my ID. So that's why I am $1300 hundred dollars behind on my rent. So can someone "PLEASE" contact me. For help from being evicted from my apartment! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
