I live in Pima County Arizona. I am a 45 year old man with 3 dogs. I am permanently disabled and receive $1140 per month from SSDI. I rented a 2 bedroom mobile home 2 1/2 years ago. My mother lived with me when she passed. I have tried to pay my $575 per month rent but it has been too much for me. I have had to sell most everything I own to help pay my rent. I don't have anything of value left. I have never been one day late on my rent. Because I have a felony on my record and 3 dogs, people will not give me a chance. I am not on probation. I was reading that section 8 or HUD will not help me because of this. I am very responsible and pay my bills on time. Always.
I am at the point where I don't know where to go for help with lower cost rent. In about a month I will be in financial trouble if I don't find a lower cost home. I do not drink, use illegal drugs or smoke. I am very quiet and a good neighbor. My medical bills (prescriptions) cost about $120 per month plus some doctors, there is a $35 copay and because I do not qualify for AHCCCS. I do not get free medical care. I take 26 pills everyday. I have never been homeless but I have a real fear that this will happen.
Is there anything you have that can help me? I don't care where I live. I just need a place that has lower rent. I looked on craigslist and have called many places. My disabilities are problems with diabetes, C.O.P.D. and depression. I'm asking you to please help me in any way you can. I want to pay my way and not look each month for help. I truly am responsible and can prove it. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I currently got out of the situation where my partner was extremely mentally, emotionally and verbally abusive to both me and my kids.
There were times I ended up in the hospital almost mentally anguished and confused thought I was going crazy.
He was removed from the home Friday and he left us high and dry. None of the bills were paid and our water was shut off for almost 3 weeks now and electric.
He left us with no money and took my ID and anything I could use for help.
Cut me off from the world and cost me my job. We are faced with an eviction notice and have until Sunday to find rent and are planning on relocating ASAP.

If you paid the back rent of $2000, why exactly do you still need help with your rent? The agencies in Manchester will ask this question before issuing any funds, so you should have a good reason. Also, what does being diabetic have to do with no being able to pay your rent on time? There are millions of people with that disease and that still work. I am currently employed, but only work 2-3 days a week currently. I have been supplementing my income working from home, which is usually able to cover my rent and bills, however, after recently moving into my new apartment, my mail was stolen, and the company issuing my check has had difficulty trying to get payment to me.
I am behind now because of this, and do not want to be evicted, especially when I know I have money on the way for services rendered. I have been struggling now for 3 months, and would be fine, except for late fees compounding again and again! Is there anyone that can help to get me situated so I am not in constant fear of losing my home?

Hello, I need assistance in moving into another rental home. The electric bill at our current location is way to much, we can not lock our doors properly, one window has a hole in it and there is no insulation, and windows are 1/4 inch acrylic sheets. Also, there are bare wires showing in the attic, the landlord will not bring the house up to code. We are living on the AR side of Texarkana, and would like to move to the Texas side. Is there any program to assist us pay to move?

There are vouchers for the disabled that you can combine with your SSI for rent payments. The names go by Certain Developments Vouchers and others, and HUD operates the program nationwide. But your rent is also high for one person, so that needs to be addressed. But learn more on the vouchers for rent for the disabled.

I am reaching out to my community for help in regards to a situation I was placed in. To be brief, I have been renting a home in Cleveland for the past 4 years. I just was informed from my landlord that he is currently under foreclosure and I have 30 days to leave the home myself and children have live in, right after Christmas.


I have always been a good tenant, rent paid on time etc. I have found another home, signed a lease but this unexpected financial situation is impossible for me to handle on my own, not to mention trying to give a little bit of Christmas for my kids. I am merely asking if you would know any resources or be able to help me in any way. I went to the Cecil county social services only to be told they are out of funds or because I am not in the "system" I do not qualify.

I am a single mother who works full time and provides for her 2 children on her own and hearing that I wouldn’t qualify for this emergency situation that I didn’t put myself into was heart breaking. If there is anything you could do to help me I would be beyond grateful. I can provide all documentation of the foreclosure, 30 day notice rental payment history etc if needed. I was out of work most of October and all of March and had no income during this time. I am not low income, but I'm not middle class either, but somewhere in between. I have no savings, and poor credit so I was unable to pay my rent for those months. I started working again last week, but my first pay isn't until the 20th. I currently live in Osage, Iowa with my wife and four small children. I am working through Accounting Pros as a temporary worker. A month ago I was strained with all the financial burden due to my wife getting sick.
