I am looking for help to pay for my electric and water bill that has lapsed 3 months now and I'm still unable to come up with extra money to pay even a portion. I was wrongfully terminated from a nursing job in Fort Wayne because I informed the owner of illegal acts being done by my co worker to include not following geriatric rights in a nursing home and forcing therapy on those who refuse it on an ongoing basis to promote productivity for that therapist and bill Medicare illegally. I was shortly fired after disclosing my real concerns and now live on UI of 363.00 a week taking care of 2 young girls who are 6 & 3 hrs of age. My husband was in college full time and now is looking for work. Any help or directions in finding help would be very welcomed. Thank you.

I have been recently unemployed and i have 3 children, daughter 8, son 5, son 2, me and my wife have no idea how we are going to our power bill or water bill ! The power is set to be disconnected this Wednesday. I have extended it 1 time already. The water disconnect date is august 6 which is next Friday. I DON'T have any money put aside for them i spent the rest of the family finance's on groceries and diapers today. I am not unemployed because i am lazy, its because there isn't any work in Henderson Nevada. I lost my job last Monday. I would not ask for help but with out some divine intervention my families future is not certain. Thank u all !!

To whom it may concern. I live St. lake Isabella California. Cal waters is the water company. They have miss raed my meter over 21 ccfs for to people in two months. You can barely read the meter and she refuses to change it out. The billing is every two months. There for I should be able to pay every two months. I have a bill now that is 600.00 and the church could only pay 75 and at the time I was going to pay 400. Thats 475 total, over half and she still refused me service.and turned it to collection in the same month she received a 75 dollar payment. The English women has had me without water going on 5 months. I Cant put it in nobodys name she wont let me. I have nothing to due with the people who has lived here before me. For one they misread the meter and refuse to give me service now and turn it over to collection. They shut me off the day before Thanksgiving and that same month I just made a $180.00 payment and she shuts me off. I need water. We dont even have grass how can I use 21 ccfs in two months theres no leaks. They charge me 98 service charge every month. Can someone please help with my water we cant go on no longer being discriminated against. There is no reasoning with this women something needs to be done. Please can any one help.

I cannot pay my water bill, due to the fact that they were not charging me for six months even though I received water. Now I owe hundreds of dollars on the bill. I need to pay at least $80 by July 7th, '12, and I have not even paid my rent in full. Any help that you can give would be appreciated. I am in dire need of help paying a security deposit for my boyfriend and I we are both disabled and the house we live in has foreclosed and been sold it sounds like we will be put on the street any day now. I am a employee of Con Edison of New York. I am a union member. The company locked out its employees due to contract negotiations between the union and management. I don't have enough to pay my electric utility bill or water bill for that matter. Is there any way I can get assistance? I would like to speak with anyone who can help me in my situation.

I live in Sumter, SC, and I am on disability. I live alone, and have to pay all my own bills, and rent. After I pay my rent, that leaves only 200.00 a month to pay all the other bills. I have no family, or friends here, or no one to help me. I am trying to find work. I send out at least 4 resumes a day, but at 58, and on disability I get no response!!My power is on the disconnect list, and so is my water. The power bill is 257.00, and the water is 37.00. I am single mother in need of assistance with my water bill, I have not been able to find work in my area and I am at the point of loosing my home I rent and share with my son, my sister who is disabled and her son so I am the only one who can work. However my vehicle died a year ago and I has been able to pay my bills with my school funding and small part time jobs cleaning houses near by but now I could not go to school this summer and have run ads and put in applications to anything available that I can walk to but with not success. I am afraid that I will loose our rental property and utilities soon if I do not find work. I will be going to LIHEAP next week when I have a ride available. I saw this site online looking for assistance so I wanted to at least try and request assistance. I can't give you a phone number since I am unable to put money on my pay as you go phone. Hello, my name is Reggie and and I am trying to find help. I have a $840.23 water bill, due to the hot water heater in my apartment not working right, but my rent is only $595.00. I expressed this to my rent office and on the day of court for eviction because it was too difficult to pay both I was informed by the landlord that everything would be pushed back 10 days, naive to what was really going on I was waiving my right to appeal the eviction. My apartment had locks changed on 5/23/2012,but I can gain re-entry with an additional $100.00 lockout fee. I owe with the lock out fee $1300, which is for the water and other fees that are due, including water and light bills. Need resources to pay these bills. I live in Salt Lake City.

I have recently suffered a loss in Unemployment Compensation as of May 7, 2012. I have a disconnect notice for my electric utility services through Duke Energy, scheduled for disconnect on May 26, 2102. I live in Bethel, OH 45106, Clermont County. Please let me know if there is any assistance you can provide to avoid my electric from being disconnected on Thursday, May 26, 2012. I have contacted my local agency to enroll in the Duke Energy PIPP program and cannot even get an appointment until mid June 2012. Finding water bill assistance is harder then funds and money for utilities. Can you send not find a job, or does her get unemployment? Many utility companies do have programs that focus or prioritize the disabled, and find your Georgia utility programs and resources for you. If you have been behind a year then in some ways you are fortunate that the power may only go off now. Can you get money from any other family or friends? Also look into the LIHEAP crisis program, as that is a fund for emergency situations which you may qualify for.

We have never heard of that utility company. But you can try this for Utah assistance programs, and learn more, including heating, electric, and maybe even water. Also be sure to look into emergency or crisis LIHEAP program. So why doesn't budget billing allow payment plans? Maybe switch back to another billing type of that is the only hold up for entering into a payment plan with Utah utility bills.

In addition my current Atmos gas bill is past due in the amount of $73.20. I called them and they could not make payment arrangements because I just switched to Budget Billing and they don't allow payment arrangements. We know Alabama Power offers some discounted rates on electric and utility bills. Call them and ask. It is for people with SSI too. Find more on Alabama assistance programs and agencies to call for programs for the disabled and handicapped. They may have some programs to help get your electricty turned back on too. We do not need the letter.

I have CIDP ( A rare autoimmune desease), Type II Diabetes, Hyperthyroid, High Blood Pressure, Tachacardia and Neuropathy in both legs. Recently my Wife left me and had the electric utility that was in her name shut off. I no longer have electricity or water. I rent a mobile home on the property of my Mother's house that belongs to my Sister. I have a rental agreement with her. Without electricity or water, I have no heat, I can not cook food, I can not bath, I can not recharge my electric wheel chair, nor adjust my mechanical/electrical hospital bed. I have no money and no where to turn. I have never asked for assistance through any program before. I am presently on Social Security Disability and my take home pay is around $1,652.00 a month. I will try to attach the email I received from Alabama Power when I tried to have the electrical service placed in my name. Can you please help me, I have no where else to turn to.

We do not understand. If you paid your electric bills, how can they turn power off? That is illegal. Threaten them with legal action, or call your local newspaper or TV station. Water bills are always harder to get help with...just not as many programs. That being said, call around to your Maricopa and El Mirage community action agency, non-profits,or local charities. A listing of Maricopa assistance programs can be found here. Your credit card company needs to protect you by law. You cant be responsibile for illegal charges. All consumers are protected from that by federal law.
